"We just spent a week in/around Bavaria. At the end of our trip, we wanted to stay close to the airport to make it easy to catch our morning flight. Instead of opting to go back to the Augustiner Braustuben (as a friend recommended), near Munich City Center to brave the Christmas market crowd, we found Gasthof Wanderer on TripAdvisor. The location is not far from the airport and in a (safe) residential area -- do not be discouraged!Even though we showed up late on a Sunday night (8:40pm), the hostess was very gracious and led us to a table after verifying with the chef. Wow! Absolutely no regrets about our choice!! We wanted traditional Bavarian dishes. I expected brats & potatoes. Instead, we got roast duck on purple cabbage with potato dumplings & pork knuckle wrapped in bacon on a bed of schpatzl. It was delicious!! The duck was crispy outside and not greasy inside. The orange sauce, "very Christmas" the server advised, was a great compliment to the duck and dumpling. The pork was tender and the spatzle was flavorful with the right balance between sauce & cheese.For dessert, we had warm chocolate cake with lemon sorbet & mixed berries. It wasn't too sweet. No one flavor overpowered the others. It was a clean, simple end to a great meal. Downed a bottle of red wine (Cotes-du-Rhone) over the course of our meal. The hostess was beyond gracious even though we (and another table lingered) were the last to leave. Highly recommend if you've got time near Munich airport. It won't disappoint!"

"At the end of August we wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday at Ilios. I called a day in advance to reserve a table on the terrace overlooking the water. I especially mentioned the birthday. When we arrived on the day (a party we were told that our table in the beer garden was ready. The beer garden is in the front of the building, next to the parking lot. Nowhere near the water. I worked as a waitress for many years in restaurants and I know that problems with reservations happen. Most of the time these problems can be overcome. All that is needed is some flexibility. When I wanted to discuss the problem with the owner he mentioned that the lady who took the reservation was not there and that he was not willing to set up a few tables for us by the water for this special occasion. He said that we can either sit in the beer garden or leave! Begrudgingly we sat down as it was too late to find an alternative. The tables overlooking the water are inside and we left early as it was got too cold to sit outside. I don't know what they would have done if it had rained. It would have been a lovely evening but instead we were all put off by the arrogance and unfriendliness of the staff. It's a real pity as the food is good and I would like to have become a regular, however that will definitely not happen. I'd like to add that I am fluent in German, so there wasn't really a lost in translation' problem with the reservation."

"we have been in the local again for a long time. as usual the service was friendly and competent. the food was served very warm and on time. to eat, you don't do anything wrong here definitiw, but the interior has already come clearly into the years. it would be nice if the benches were cleaned in the corner times, because there is very clear the dust. Otherwise, this has a distinctive bollywood character locally, is drawn through to the music. It is to be emphasized as the friendly standard, there were people who wanted to drink only a beer and these were treated as friendly as customers who ordered a whole evening meal."

"Super delicious and high quality food without spending a lot of money! It just tastes great and there is a lot of choice. The staff is always super friendly and if you don't want so much vegetables on your plate, the chefs also go :D I often go to Vietnamese and I'm super happy every time. I can recommend the 13A! With chicken meat, Scharfer sauce, rice and vegetables. Suuupe delicious"

"just before the beautiful tower in the landshuter str. and a few meters from the Rathaus is the Kenndy bar. it is a fashionable small load with gips blankets, new-old seating furniture and a atmospheric lighting. the small outside area is especially decorative directly in front of the front of the restaurant and unfortunately directly on the street. besides garden and chairs are also cushions where you can eat an aperitif and a small food on a lukewarm summer evening.A little bit of a pity is just that the road is so well-running. the operator cannot do so, but sometimes motorcyclists feel the need after lärmpollution with their exhaust systems in the sunny months of the year. also in the 30 km/h zone in front of Kenndy’s this is a bit disturbing.The eating of relatiw wide fanned, so also the wine card. aperitifs and longdrinks, but also bottled wines and gin varieties can be found in Gusto.We have taken a pulled pork burger, tortellini with truffles and two Lillet berry to us. the service was good, you had the feeling that they just came after. at first, this was the impression that they did not find our customers desirable, but at the end, they were very friendly to be served and appreciated. reservation would probably have been better. they were only two. our small mill amounted to €36.50, which would be in the middle price segment. Kenndy bar is quite recommended, not spotbillig and the portions already manageable. it is very cozy, chic and the perfect address in the city on a warm summer evening."
