"an optically attractive small space in a relatiw powerful hotel, hilty stubli seems to suffer from a confusion of the for the purpose. the hotel has a much larger dining room close to, which is more neutral decorated while this next room is furnished to have a traditional style of house...chalet look, but the menus are (we believe) the same. this Swiss room has a menu with a very large selection of options as well as a completely separate pan-Asian restaurant that is provided to them with the main menu. this Asian menu has small selection of Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, etc., which creates a confusion with the theme of decorating the room. is this a restaurant that specializes in excellent Swiss cuisine or a Swiss restaurant that cares in every variety of food? that said the quality of the food we had was quite good. first, the ingredients used were of good quality, the presentation of the dishes was thoughtful and the service was professional and yet friendly (although they all ran over quite vivid). How was the taste? one of us had the homemade pasta with local cheese, friend wobble and small kartoffel think imaginative mac and cheese and it was fantastic. very tastefully and appetizingly presented, it also came with a beside dish of seasoned preserved apple slices, which seemed a strange pairing, but connected to the pasta to create a unique taste. highly recommended. the other of us had a cheese fondue that was appropriate. served with traditional steamed potato and brot, it lacked taste (to be fair, this was the mild version in contrast to the spicy version, but the cheese itself should have a remarkable taste). a solid fondue, but no reason to come into this restaurant. we have pointed out to the other dishes from the kitchen, and they routinely looked to be of high quality, including, yes, even those outside the square Asian. these, as with those we had, were also all generous size, so filling. Also note that the serviera was slow, what the menu itself lets them know in advance that everything is only done from the job, and so give them time to enjoy a drink while waiting for the food. so would be that this is a solid restaurant with a menu with something for everyone, but a confusing mix of Swiss and non-Swiss."

Von A bis Z alles super. Freundliche Gastgeber. Super Gastronomie mit einmaligem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Hund war sehr willkommen und die Zimmer sehr sauber ins ruhig.

this restaurant is a hidden gem in grindelwald. the mixed grill, rosti and filled callbsfilet were all excellent and composed by an extensive wine card beautifully. some surprisingly elevated elements, including perfectly grilled vegetables and dishes served by a team of waiters under claws....The toblerone mousse for dessert was enormous and delightful.

Restaurant hat sehr leckeres Essen, eine gute abwechslungsreiche Auswahl und eine sehr nette Bedienung. Zimmer sind etwas veraltet, vor allem das Badezimmer ist nicht mehr auf dem zu erwartenden Standard. Checkin Checkout eher mässig, Begrüssung und Service der Reception leider eher unfreundlich, kompliziert und nicht zuvorkommend. Preislich im grossen und ganzen etwas teuer. Voir le carte

Unter diesem Namen leider kaum zu finden, da es sich um eine Stube des Hotel Kirchbühl handelt. Wir haben lieber den schönen Ausblick von der Terrasse genossen und konnten auch dort sehr leckere Rösti und Nudelgerichte (Gletscherhüetli) genießen. Der freundliche und kompetente Service von Anja W. hat den Besuch zum Erlebnis werden lassen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wurden satt und auch die Preise empfanden wir für Schweizer Verhältnisse als moderat. Kommen gerne einmal wieder.

A small dining room in a larger hotel, this restaurant seemed so charming when we entered. The menu was a bit confusing but even more so was the long loooooong wait for the food. About 45 minutes for starters (which were ok), about an hour...(in total) for our mains (rostis and fondu which were pretty good actually Apparently there was some unusual problem in the kitchen which caused the wait... And we were offered coffee/tea on the house for waiting, which was the least they could do, really. All in all the food was average and we manly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and company...
