A quiet and very friendly bar selling decent pub grub. We had a very nice lunch here.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing. It's definitely a great place to visit!

I had to get up twice to ask for service and the food was very poor quality and the portions were very small, even though I ordered a large size.

Small portions most appreciated .We have been coming to King William for years and allways been very happy with everything and will continue to come .

I went to this restaurant for my birthday and the food was incredibly tasty. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was charming. It's a small place, so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

As per usual, excellent food and great service. Was really pleased that they allow dogs so we were able to let our dog lie under the table. The staff are always helpful and we really appreciated our waitress singing happy birthday to my mum.

We eat here every six weeks when I visit my mum . We have never had a bad meal here over the past ten years. The food is tasty and very well cooked. The sunday roast is excellent value and as with all meals you can order a small or large portion depending on your appetite. Caters for vegetarians as well.

Taken here for early Mother's Day treat. Food excellent and plentiful and service very good. I had pate for starter and pork loin for main. My son and daughter in law had mushroom and goat's cheese starter followed by lamb bourguignon and fish and chips respectively. Desserts were lemon meringue roulade, crumble and cheesecake. None of us could fault either quality or quantity. Also had an excellent bottle of white wine. Will definitely be making a return visit.

We love the King William and have been going there for some years, mainly for lunch, so we have seen a number of different managers. We consider the current owners, the chef and his wife, are the best yet. The food is delicious and well served. My husband, a Yorkshire man who knows good fish and chips, says these are some of the best around, with light batter and tasty fish. Other dishes are full of flavour, which makes choosing one's meal difficult! The bar area is comfortable and friendly and there is a nice table in the window alcove, excellent for ladies who lunch. All in all, the King William is a lovely, well run establishment, whose staff give customers a delightful dining experience.
