"First visit to the Katsouri deli cafe probably my last after today. We visit Bury on a regular basis,i come with my uncle aunt's,usually starting the day with a good breakfast, not on this occasion. Ww decided on Katsouri after our last outing, the place...was busy we managed to find a table( left in a mess bu the last customer) we cleared this asked if someone was available just to give the table a quick wipe times we had to ask,i said I'd do it myself,no i couldn't do that eventually someone came over, job done. Next came the menu,we all decided on the kitten breakfast, with a couple of changes, nothing difficult, plus a couple of hot drinks. No waiting service, you order at the counter,so my elderly aunt was expected to carry the tray, with said hot drinks, over to our table.. Then the food arrived, kitchen mustn't have read the change on one,so it went back back again, finally right.. Small ovel plates, the food wasn't hot/luke warm, toasted ciabatta, some was, some wasn't, WHY?..Was chef having an off day?...i have to say, at least the cup of tea was hot. I sat by the door which leads out onto the outdoor eating area,so this was open closed continuously, which wasn't a bother, but get the rattle fixed.. I can't say how much the total bill was,as it was aunt's turn to pay,but i feel a refund ?!!.."

Excellent full English and great value. Quick service and a decent American. Great cheese and bread at the deli counter opposite.

Katsouris deli, coffee good, bacon sandwich undercooked and greasy.asked for well done but not what was served up. Didn't expect Michelin star but how difficult is well done.

I always order a grande filter coffee. it has done for years. Today coughs and the cup was much smaller. I asked, but it was said that was the right one. it wasn't cheaper! otherwise, while I was a bit miffed, I enjoyed mine.

The coffee is still very good, but the food is now mediocre and I felt they had lost some of the old spark. Maybe it's the economy. Raw pastry in my baklava, hot sandwich could have been toasted to the centre, lokum was too dry....I hope it's a one off, always enjoyed their food in the past.

still a big **** with still served very slowly. ordered eating and drinking and the Cypriot coworker give us our number and letter, I sat down, after mins the waiter went to me and said our cappuccinos was ready to be picked up from theke, why on earth could not bring the Cypriot coworker to us when he came to tell us it was ready to poor customer service. I ordered the bbq huh with Greek salate on a flat brot, huh very dry and no feta cheese on the Greek salate.

we have bought many painting products from katsouris deli and it is usually extremely good. we especially like the little almond tars that are beautiful with a hot drink. added, we bought ourselves on late Thursday afternoon, but unfortunately, when we arrived at home to it with. having a cup of tea, they were very stale so that we threw them away. they're not cheap on everyone. we will not buy them again. I give a score of averages, as the other products bought were very good.

dreadful, very dissatisfied, first out, it is too cramped in the inner, why on earth have one of the entrances that is anyway very tight to sit and the server come with food! I felt as if I were in the wrong situation, all the time with the staff not in intervention, while I was standing waiting for over and the condition of eating when it came out, as if it had been thrown on the plate! Not to mention that the plate is red hot because I only ordered a **** panini! burn my finger without initial warning about it! definitiw is not returned or recommended

My fiance and I visited Katsouris Bury on Wednesday for lunch. Although the cafe was full we managed to find a table. We ordered two cappuccinos (good price and generous portion). I had the halloumi wrap and my fiance had an omelette with cheese,tomato...and mushrooms. The food was really nice and we were surprised by the fact that although people were qeuing to order our food came pretty quickly. Service was surprisingly great, the waitress brought us condiments as we asked for and she was all possitive and helpful despite the busy hours. She even suggested us places to visit in Greece since we consider going some time soon. Thank you Katsouris for the fab food and Ana for the great service...

My wife and I ordered jacket potatoes with hot chicken and salad. The jackets were served raw. I asked if there were any replacement jackets and as there weren’t the staff offered to put in microwave which I accepted as reasonable. While waiting...for our potatoes to be cooked more we ate our chicken and salad since the hot chicken was getting cold. After some time our jackets came out again and were still raw. I asked for a refund and the incredibly rude Greek owner offered me total refund on the basis we ate the chicken and salad. I said “of course we ate the chicken and salad because it was getting cold and we were waiting for our jacket potatoes to be cooked more since they were raw”. I...

"Well, it 's been a while since I 've reviewed a place but this little gem has certainly reawakened my vigour for it. Visited this evening as a kind of belated birthday celebration with my husband and son and very glad we did indeed. We happened upon this place a few weeks back (passing by and grabbing a cocktail after the days plans fell through and instantly took to the place and it 's wonderful staff and from the off had intentions to visit again an so finally did tonight), within seconds of seating ourself at the bar we were remembered by the owners, which to me shows great calibre on the customer service front. As someone with an exceptionally sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol it was our lucky day to find they had cocktails on 2for£10 and hell can the owner Jo mix like a minx (even doing us an off menu blend to account for tastes). The husband not being a big drinker happily sat at the bar chatting with staff and customers nursing his Peroni whilst me and my son dived headlong into the extensive classical and modern mixed cocktail list. Having been lured into great expectations (previously sampling delicious tasters) from Jo 's lovely husband Dave on our first brief visit we were definitely eagerly placed to dive into dinner tonight. Our lovely waitress Sian, stood patiently while we chopped and changed idea 's and orders, laughed with us, checked regularly everything was to our tastes as did the other young waitress that dropped drinks over to us. Both girls portraying the perfect mix of friendly and professional, a refreshing change to be served by people that clearly enjoy their working environment. And on to the food... we started with olives (and boy was it a substantial portion in comparison with some establishments weak efforts), hubby was first in there, impressed with the quality of marinade (too many places these days forget the little efforts like this thinking folk can 't differentiate something tipped out of a supermarket packet). After much debate (I had my eye on far too many dishes) choices were made, Hubby had the Filo Kefta, which had a light pastry, adequate spice and smoothly complimentary dip, for main he went with the day 's Special of Lamb with fondant potato, heritage carrots and a divinely velvety Jus which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he 's hard to please, being well versed himself and making a point of getting the lovely Chef Darren a glass of wine in appreciation). The lad had a Sirloin steak burger cooked medium rare and is now demanding we visit again soon. lol I went with the Gravlax to start, instantly aware of the clean flavour from its curing cutting through (I even brought a titbit home for my kitty to enjoy), as for main, I 'd initially had my mind on fish but upon discovering the owner Jo was also a blue steak lover I had to try one there and wow they really take care in choosing their suppliers because that was an A grade cut of meat, even my son (who prefers medium-rare) upon trying a slice said it was an exceptional piece of meat I had it with asparagus, no sauce and swapped out the chips for a feta/pepper bowl which worked perfectly as did the glass of Shiraz that Jo picked out to compliment it for me. Genuinely I can not pick fault (read through my other reviews I write honestly, pick fault where warranted and compliment where due). Had this lovely little find been in our usual local it would surely become a regular haunt ours for sure. I would 100% recommend this place and extend our gratitude to all the staff for making our entire visit memorable and perfect."
