"Food is great... When you can get it. Best steak pasties, croissants, pan au chotolat's by far. The quality is amazing but they haven't sussed out a good routine for the shop yet. You can walk in but lots of stock is reserved. They should be filling their shelves and if they have the capacity for extra stock, use the extra on a reservation basis. Each week varies in terms of when they bake things, I tried 4 weeks in a row to get steak pasties week 1 not made yet, week 2 sold out, week 3 sold out, week 4 not made yet. I arrived at the same time every week."

Get in quick while the Special Burger is on. Amazing in their exceptional buns. If you miss out the croque monsieur is also top notch. Bakery with the works!!!!

I love this little bakery. To avoid disappointment, you need to get there early, as there products sell quickly. I had a Veggie Pasty on my last visit and it was surprisingly spicy but that suited my tastes.

A little gem of a bakery. Premium bread and pastries with a justified matching price tag. We visit every time we're in Plymouth. Often a queue in the mornings but all good things come to those who wait right?

Great food, coffee and not forgetting the amazing bread! Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly staff, it feels like hanging out in our friends kitchen .This place is the gem of the Barbican, miss it at your peril!

Crusty delicious tradition sourdough loaves. Excellent cakes and coffee. Delightful friendly staff and eclectic music. Small but warm with fine baking aroma makes it all the more cosy. Unusual and surprising cakes and puddings. Selection of Cook and baking books to read. Tiny place.. couple of outside tables in the noisy street.

Told this was the oldest bakery in the UK. I bought the cardamom cake and caramel polenta cake. I returned to take as many cakes home, cerry brownies, fruit tart and chocolate tarts. Coffee was incredibly good too. Negatives, no boxes for takeaway just brown bags difficult to transport back to crawley, coffee comes in a small only size. Staff were friendly food was amazing.
