"First. I’d like to address the reviewer who thought they were singled out for being American. I asked (in Italian) if the hostess spoke English, which she did not. I was able to ask for a table for two in Italian. Please note we are now at a total of six words in Italian, so it is not a heavy lift. I don’t mean to be rude but these are good phrases to know if you are traveling in this area as this is not a large city. She instantly knew what we wanted, we pantomimed to sit outdoors. Then, we did wait a few minutes between receiving the menus and being able to order. However, it was clear to me that they were waiting for the waitress who spoke English to be available, I do not think we were in her section. This lovely young woman was very accommodating and answered any questions we had, Graziemille! Food and wine arrived quickly and was excellent. Prices are very fair. This was a nice casual meal and it was a good sign that so many Italian families were dining here. Mangia e buon fortuna!"

"We had the pleasure of visiting La Sorgente for a delightful Sunday family dinner during our stay at in Tuscany. Our experience was made even more enjoyable by the lovely waitress, Laura, who demonstrated exceptional kindness and went the extra mile to assist us with translations. Given our food allergies, the staff was impressively accommodating, ensuring our dining experience was both safe and enjoyable. Our culinary journey commenced with a delectable plate of local cheeses and meats, setting the stage for the culinary delights to come. The Florentine steak, a highlight of the evening, boasted a crispy exterior and impeccably cooked interior, leaving our taste buds in awe. The homemade pasta infused with truffles was nothing short of a revelation; it undoubtedly claimed the title of the best truffle pasta we've ever had. The generous amount of truffles in the dish elevated its flavors to another level. We were fortunate to witness the culinary mastery of the owner and chef, Michele, whose talent shone through every dish. In the end, our evening at La Sorgente was a truly wonderful and memorable experience, filled with exceptional food and warm hospitality."

"On our way back to hotel after a long busy day in Firenze, we stopped w/ some friends II Grano E L’Uva b/c of prior trip advisor reviews ARE SO Glad we did! Francisco the owner) did his magic put together 5 wooden cutting boards with samples from his deli/ shop of ALL these different breads, pestos, olives, salami’s, stuffed tomatoes, olive oils, cheeses spreads! It was absolutely DELICIOUS ! We Highly recommend really enjoyed the local wine he recommended as well! Le Palaie: Gatta Ci Cova photo attached! We also enjoyed picking out some breakfast biscotti, apricot torte, al cioccolato, torta al limone all for tomorrow’s breakfast!"
