The food is always amazing here. The staff is friendly and it's always a great experience. I highly recommend trying the homemade tiramisu, if you still have room after your meal!

Delightful family of three dinner last night. Very easily summed up: Good food, nice portion sizes, good ambience, and good service at reasonable prices. Will look forward to returning again soon.

Traveling in Dover for the weekend. Il Rustico offered reasonably priced Italian food with a nice atmosphere and good service. We had lasagne, carbonara and a pizza. They were all good. We paid about £60 for three meals and a bottle of wine. Would recommend Voir le carte

Sixteen of us dined here for my father's birthday, as we have all eaten here separately in the past. This restaurant consistently impresses and, in my opinion, is the best restaurant in Dover. The service was courteous and prompt, with all of our meals delivered quickly and hot. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for another lovely evening.

I’m a typical Brit who begrudges paying dollars for pasta, but I think I might be converted, not by all Italian restaurants but by this one definitely. Food was reasonably priced but was absolutely stunning in taste. If you ever said to me let’s go for an Italian I would make my excuses, but if you said let’s go here I am in, top job from food all the way through to the staff .

Came in on a business trip with my colleague for evening meal. I had the lasagne and a bottle of water, waiter was polite at the beginning and attentive however strangely found him stood staring from the bar at me which made me very uncomfortable and didn’t want to eat my food. If busy I can assume it probably wouldn’t happen however there were only 2 tables in at the time. It was just very weird and came across creepy. Voir le carte

I was surprised to realize that my last review of Il Rustico was 11 years ago! While the owners have changed since then, the menu still offers delicious and affordable Italian dishes. My visits for lunch every few months never disappoint, and on this occasion, both the lasagna and pizzas were as delicious as always. The house wines, especially the Primitivo, were also of good quality and value. I hope the restaurant continues to maintain its high standards for the next decade!

Impromptu family visit for four at lunchtime to Il Rustico. First time here although many time repeat customers to previous Dover venue. Delightful main course lunch selected from traditional Italian fayre. Reasonably priced throughout and beautiful food, well presented and good friendly and professional service throughout. Desserts and coffee were similarly superb. Nice wine list and drink selection on offer. Highly recommended. We will be returning in the near future for sure.

Read the reviews and gave it a go. It was OK, but nothing about the experience elevated it beyond ok. Limited menu, especially for vegetsrians. We booked but found that our table had been given to someone who walked in off the street. Had to get a drink somewhere else and come back half an hour later. The food we ordered was cooked well. Service was ok but not particularly attentive. It was quite difficult to get a waiters attention. Atmosphere was again, ok. I would eat here again but only if none of my preferred options were available. Voir le carte
