The walk from Caprile, by the river bank, then around the Lake, through Alleghe and back to...Caprile is very pleasant indeed. The scenery is majestic, the woods cool and the town interesting. After such a walk a stop at the Hotel alla Posta is almost essential, coffee and cake if you feel peckish, pizzetta and hot chocolate if the weather is cool, a wide variety of long, cold drinks if the weather is hot. Added to which is the pleasure of sitting in the square under the shade of the umbrellas watching the world go by as you sip your drink."

After walking around the Lake, this is a perfect spot to take in some refreshment. They have a really wide range of cakes and ices to have with your coffee, and if you feel like something more substantial, the pizzas can be recommended
