"Per me è un punto di riferimento ad Orvieto! Il locale è in linea con quei nuovi trend della ristorazione che prevedono una cucina con prodotti locali, a km0, rivisitazione di piatti tradizionali, una buona carta dei vini, birra artigianale. Il locale è caratteristico sia all’interno che all’esterno, il servizio giovane impeccabile e molto cortese! Prendo sempre l’amatriciana, per me la migliore mai assaggiata (sono stata dappertutto, Roma, Amatrice, Milano, all’estero ecc… Il loro guanciale è selezionato tra più di 100 produttori ed è croccante, ma allo stesso tempo ti si scioglie in bocca. Non mi interessano le disquisizioni sulla cipolla: loro ce la mettono ed è semplicemente top!"

"We were recommended to visit this restaurant by friends who, like us, live in this region of Italy for six months of the year and as such we feel well placed to review restaurants. We read the Trip Adviser reviews and were very excited at the prospect of eating in this establishment. We booked a table for six with high expectations but how disappointed we were. The ambience was OK but we were the only people there so somehow it felt a little flat. The waitress who spoke good English was business like, gave us the menus (not an extensive choice), told us what was unavailable that night, took our order and we heard nothing more for quite a while. Eventually the primi arrived in drips and drabs, 15 minutes between the first and last being served, at one point a secondi order arrived for one of the guests before his primi! The food was unexceptional at best. The secondi eventually arrived, mine and another guest's was luke warm, another guest's steak had to be sent back as it was undercooked and was returned overcooked and the side plate of assorted vegetables were disgraceful. On top of this the food was horribly over salted. In addition I would say that the food is overpriced for what they offered. Bearing in mind the rave reviews posted on Trip Adviser I can only assume we caught them on a bad night but I think in a well run restaurant this should not be allowed to happen ever. We were, needless to say, very, very disappointed."

"Abbiamo prenotato telefonicamente mentre eravamo in autostrada ed abbiamo trovato un tavolo per 2 per il pranzo. La location è di tutto rispetto: sotto alla Rupe in cui si trova Orvieto con uno splendido panorama sulle colline circostanti e circondata da tanto verde; ci sono anche camere per alloggiare. All'ingresso nel locale siamo stati accolti dalla cameriera e dal titolare con sorrisi, gentilezza e simpatia che non sono mancati un solo istante durante la permanenza e questo ha reso il pranzo sicuramente migliore e più allegro. Abbiamo scelto pappardelle ai porcini ed Umbrichelli (pasta tipica) al cinghiale, entrambi molto buoni ma non spettacolari come ci aspettavamo; io poi ho assaggiato anche la cicoria ripassata ma, benché abbondante, non era gustosa come ricordavo essere quella mangiata altrove in Umbria; molto buone invece le patate arrosto ed il vino Orvieto classico della Locanda che abbiamo bevuto al calice. Non abbiamo preso il dessert ma solo 2 caffé per concludere il pranzo. Conto nella media di locali in cui la qualità è molto ricercata; voto 100 al personale, davvero il TOP!"
