always promptly, exquisite courtesy service that lets me pleasantly surprised by the ingenious food. linguine with seafood has more seafood than linguine of a dozen dishes and some beautifully slenders, and even simple chicken dishes with cheese and tomato make me smile. my casual restaurant of choice in the region Farringdon/Barbican.

overall I liked it and think it was perfect for our group of 9 arriving the last minute on a Thursday night. we originally went to polpo, but were taken to il botegilo because it is her nearby sister restaurant and our group of 9 could immediately take up. we sat up with our own, very attentive waitress, which was very helpful with my lactose intolerance. we had pizzas, risottos and tried most desserts, with whom everyone was satisfied and all enjoyed the house red and white wine. it was quiet, it had a nice atmosphere and had friendly staff.
