"Lovely cavernous space with light greyish woods. We attended the discounted soft launch where the menu was still limited to sharing platters. The two of us shared the meat platter of charcuterie and the vegetable platter. Both came with lovely focaccio studded with rosemary and garlic. The meat platter was pleasant with braesola, prosciutto, salami as well as a spicy chorizo-like salami whose name I can't remember. The vegetable platter was quite stunning. Roast butternut squash marinated in garlic was the standout on the plate. There was also a whole roast aubergine, roast baby carrots with cumin and beetroot with morcocan spices as well as stuffed courgette. I would only fault this dish in that it needed a sharp note such as salsa verde or tapenade especially on the slightly bland courgette. We finished with the only dessert on the menu, which was a trio of ice creams. The elderflower sorbet was really memorable."

Pippa was our sommelier, and she did an excellent job finding a wonderful bottle of wine that I would never have chosen myself! She was friendly and down-to-earth, definitely not pretentious at all! I’m looking forward to returning for lunch.

I had a big late lunch at this restaurant, which offered a small menu. However, everything was incredibly fresh and well-prepared. The staff were lovely, and the wine was even better. I would definitely return in a heartbeat. Great job, everyone!

What a fantastic hidden gem! We didn’t stop to eat, but we popped in on a Monday. The servers were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuine. They really knew their wines and guided us to a great bottle. We had no idea it was a Monday when we arrived. The restaurant has plenty of space for private parties and is beautifully decorated. I will definitely return during my next visit to London! Voir le carte

If you like good wine but hate the pretence that often comes with it, I've got just the wine bar for you: Humble Grape. You might have heard it before there's already one in Battersea but they've just opened a new branch off Fleet Street and I headed there recently to find out a little more. You can find Humble Grape tucked away beneath the vaults of St Bride's Church, in the infamous journalist district of Fleet Street.

Service is fantastic. But to be honest, the wine selection it's not my cup of tea, more hedonistic style for yuppies. But still you can find something for yourself. Quite good braseeri style of food. Simple but good. Monday is the best day to visit this place, becouse you pay shelf take away prices for wine and you can drink inside the restaurant. General manager Kevin Coetzee is a real star. Thank you again for a very nice welcome.

What better way to start the evening that with a glass of something fizzy. I’d gone along to the Humble Grape for a little wine tasting, what they call vinotyping and some food. The evening started with a delicious pink sparkling wine, made prosecco style. Ghisolana La Divina Rosato Spumante extra Dry – which apparently can’t be called a prosecco because it comes from the Veneto. Well, in this case, a rose by any other name tastes just as ‘sweet’. Thank you Katya and the Humble Grape team for serving us the wedding of our dreams back in May! The venue was stunning, the staff were professional and always kept our water and wine glasses full, we never felt rushed through our courses and the food was so delicious our guests are still talking about it 6 months later! Katya helped us plan all the details and even helped with some of the decor and set up. Was great for having a live band too at one end with a quieter retreat at the bar end. Perfect venue for a wedding for all the reasons mentioned plus it's on Bride's Lane and in the crypts of a church famed for inspiring the tiered wedding cake! We would highly recommend for any event.

the best part of this place is the personal, very helpful, nice, funny and honest. when we ordered coffee, they were very clear that they were not a coffee shop, so that the coffee cannot be amazing, after all the warning anyway we ordered coffee and was good. the wine selection was great, the divided plates were beautiful in taste. the only disadvantage was that the Argentinean weeps had not (we were after a good Argentine Malbec); but we got a Chilean who was good. great place to sit and chat, music was there, but not really loud and beautiful environment. we were a group of five and had a great time, because couples are also an ideal place. Go, you won't regret it. make sure it is not che...
