"It 's a very nice traditional Tirolean/Austrian restaurant with fine foods and very good service in a quaint little village of Alpbach. It was crowded with some international conference participants when we came here for a late lunch. The mountain village of Alpbach is a very special gem. It is known for its unique wooden construction style. Instead of oversized hotel buildings, you can still find authentic wooden houses at 1,000 m above sea level. In many inns there are still original Alpbachtal farm furniture. This architectural style is unique in Austria. Alpbach was rewarded in 1983 with the title Most beautiful village in Austria. In addition, numerous farms bear the name Erbhof, which stands for more than 200 years of family property. The traces of old handicrafts and customs are even more evident here than elsewhere. Alpbach owes its wealth of traditions to its street, which was built very late. The current road into the valley was not built until 1926. My trout was pan fried in butter (photo) it was so flavorful. Of course, it was a whole fish, so you had to do some work to debone it yourself. I just couldn 't remember when the last time was I had such a tasty trout. My potatoes were also very tender and tasty. My wife opted for medium pork loin medallion on a bed of garlic and vegetable puree (photo). It was too much meat for her, so I could enjoy some of it. She enjoyed it very much nonetheless. We were so glad to venture out to Alpbach enjoyed seeing lots of amazing Tyrolean wooden houses with beautiful flower boxes hanging on the windows."

Urlaub mit Kindern. Alle Bediensteten sehr freundlich. Sehr schön und urig. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an die sehr gute Küche und das sehr angenehme Servicepersonal. Wir empfehlen es gerne weiter und kommen bei Gelegenheit wieder einmal. Herzliche Grüße aus Bayern. S. Hagen Food drinks: Sehr lecker, 5 Sterne reichen da nicht aus. Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht zu toppen. Abendessen war immer ein Genuss.

This review is for the restaurant. Outstanding Austrian food! We had the beef in wine sauce and my wife had the pork chop. All the dishes seemed to be upscale versions of the traditional Austrian menu, but high quality prep, presentation and flavors! Atmosphere was authentic, right down to the local working folk guys having beers in the adjoining bar. A wonderfully true Tirolian experience! Recommended.
