"In der alten Schmiede werden leckere Steaks und andere Spezialitäten vom Grill serviert, wobei auch Vegetarier mit den angebotenen Gemüsevariationen etwas leckereres in der Karte finden. Auch die Weinkarte hält für jeden etwas bereit. Wir haben uns über den ausgezeichneten Rioja gefreut, der das Essen bestens begleitet hat. Speisen und Getränke sind hochwertig, der Service ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Lokal selbst ist urig und sehr gemütlich. Wir wissen gar nicht so recht warum wir dieses tolle Lokal ganz in der Nähe nicht schon früher entdeckt haben, waren aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort zu Gast. Absolut empfehlenswert. Delicious steaks and other grilled specialties are served and vegetarians will also find something tastier with the vegetable options. The wine list also has something for everyone. We were delighted with the excellent Rioja, which accompanied the meal perfectly. The food and drinks are of high quality and the service is extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is quaint and very cozy. We don't really know why we didn't discover this great restaurant nearby sooner, but it certainly wasn't our last time there. Highly Recommended."

"I almost gave 4 points because the most restaurants in Reit im Winkl are not good and offer too many different dishes! (Unfiortunately, we had no chance to go to "Dorf Stadl" where the food is probably very good!) The staff was friendly and recommended some day specials, whereof I chose the pumpkin soup as starter. It was very tasty with curry and coconut milk and fine pumpkin seed oil on top. As main dish I chose a pizza which was made in the italian way what I liked. A more soft and thin pizza base.My girlfriend chose Teufelsfleisch. The beef stripes were really medium as ordered and the potatoes and sauce were tasty.The recommanded wines were good.Price level is cheap.Soup, 2 x 1/4 l wine, pizza, meat dish and an espresso for less than 40€.Some little minuses: - the menu is very messy and the English translation is honestly not good. But it was nice that they had an English menu at least :)There were many couples sitting with strangers at tables for 4 persons. I would recommand to book a table for two persons in advance!Really recommandable."

"Zentral gelegen, direkt neben der Kirche, aber da die Glocken zwischen 20.00 und 7.00 Uhr schwiegen, war das kein Problem. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, das Frühstück, auch aufgrund der vielen kleinen Leckereien, sehr gut. Die Menschen, die uns versorgt haben waren ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Wohlfühlfaktor war sehr hoch. Nearby activities: Ein Wanderparadies Food drinks: Das Restaurant war an drei Abenden geöffnet und die Gerichte, die wir gegessen haben sehr empfehlenswert. "Zum Eichhof is a small Gasthaus a short stroll from the heart of the village that caters to a contented group of locals and travelers. We were the sole American diners the evening we visited, which is apparently typical. Dishes on offer are typical of the region, but the quality of the cooking is very high. Our food was fresh- tasting, well-seasoned, and served piping hot. Prices are more than reasonable. My filet of trout with almonds and browned butter was delicious; it was a copious portion, perfectly cooked, served with potatoes and a large leaf salad composed of multiple types of lettuce.The cost? About $13.00! [I requested fried potatoes rather than boiled, and they were excellent.] My husband's dinner, similarly priced, was grilled pork tenderloin served with a cream sauce and a hefty portion of Roesti as well as the same leaf salad. His half liter of HBTraunstein dark beer was just four Euros.We ate on the rear patio, from which we could enjoy a lovely, rural mountain view. The evening was great. Reservations advised. Highly recommended!"

"Das erste mal und seeehr wahrscheinlich nicht nochmal. Wir sind schon öfters in Reit im Winkel gewesen…aber noch nie in der Festhalle. Was gut funktioniert hat ist die Bitte um Rückruf wegen Platzreservierung. Aber der Rest war so gar nicht gut. Zum Glück wurden wir aus dem Tratsch heraus bemerkt und man konnte uns den evt. Platz im Freisitz zuweisen. Bestellt hatten wir einen Salat als Vorspeise zum teilen….dann eine 1/2 Haxe und ein Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen. „teilen“ heisst für mich das wir nicht aus einem Teller essen sondern 2 Teller zum Teilen gebracht werden. Das Hauptgericht kam so schnell das wir ca 1/4 des Salates erst gegessen hatten…..die spätere Ausrede „ die Küche war zu schnell „ die kann ich nicht gelten lassen wenn 5 Servicekräfte um die Tische tänzeln. Kaum waren wir mit dem Salat fertig kamen unsere Gerichte…allerdings ohne Pfifferlinge….. und mit serviettenknödeln die mehr als gwöhnungsbedürftig sind. Leere Getränke blieben ohne Aufmerksamkeit….."
