"Last night we had dinner at this amazing local 5 star restaurant. The owner Leonardo seated us and by the end of the night he was sitting with us, regaling us with stories of restaurants he 's owned in NYC, Dublin and Italy, all while opening yet another bottle wine. Part of the small restaurant is a jazz club at the end of the second dining room. Leonardo is a big jazz fan as am I so we chatted about Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker and of course Miles Davis. The culinary portion started out with some gifts of Bruschetta crostini, a small fish infused bread, some fried zucchini. Served with a local vino blanco from the Puglia region. First course was a grilled octopus salad with small seared potato slices in a delicate sauce. Another bottle of wine Next was fresh grilled shrimp on top of bed of quinoa Followed by another appetizer of homemade should go without saying gnocchi and clams Next a small portion of seafood ravioli in a cognac cream sauce. Another bottle of wine Main course I had the cod fillet that was so tender flaked apart with the lightest nudge from your fork. Renee had the grilled salmon prepared exactly how she likes it slightly undercooked medium rare. Another bottle of wine, but by this time Leonardo had joined us and he 's no wine slouch. For dessert, we had a vibrant raspberry sorbet to cleanse the pallet . followed by warm filo dough filled with cream, Then we shared a tiramisu. I had an espresso and then Leonardo brought out the Limoncello and some samples of infused grappa. We stumbled home and passed out .This morning we were rendered pretty useless and the bed in our Airbnb kept calling us back. Now after a long siesta we will venture out in to the afternoon here in Mola di Bari."

"a special and spectacular discovery. thanks to the tip of a friend we arrived in this place to mola di bari. we started from an antipasto based on rawness is cooked, then spacing in a bis of first and second. the refinement of the products, the combinations and the care of the details have given us the opportunity to appreciate flavors and pleasures of the kitchen. The immense pleasure ended with a triple dessert surprise. I thank the chef and the staff very much. It was a long time that I didn't appreciate a kitchen and a star service! Thank you."

"Lo so lo so manco fosse il locale Crespi di Antonino, ma se poco poco ne capite di cucina e di materia prima allora potrete condividere la mia opinione: Abbiamo mangiato su tavolaccio e panche classiche da feste di paese; il coperto era la classica tovaglietta di carta; Bicchieri, piatti e posate non di lusso ma non di plastica; Vino bianco ghiacciato in brocca versato dalla tanica di plastica della cantina sociale (scialbo ma accompagna bene); Acqua bella ghiacciata; Portate di mare succulente, buone, da fare il bis (ad esclusione delle cozze fritte che a tutta la tavola non hanno entusiasmato). Servizio cordiale veloce disponibile, accoglienza pure. Ci ritorniamo di certo."

"Stavamo cercando un ristorante in grado di soddisfare il nostro desiderio di mangiare buon pesce e qui il nostro desiderio si è avverato. nino, il proprietario del club, ci ha accolti e ci ha servito una serie di piatti di pesce davvero deliziosi. per cominciare ci ha portato un paio di piatti di acciughe marinate e poi, per completare gli antipasti, un piatto di moscardini e poi le cozze alla griglia. davvero delizioso! Poi abbiamo continuato con un primo con una grande salsa con gamberetti, mia moglie invece ha preso una griglia mista con pesce spada, polipo e paccia. anche le 2 bottiglie di vino ci hanno soddisfatto pienamente, la prima era un chardonnay locale e poi un negroamaro rosa. da chiudere poi ci ha portato vari liquori, limoni, liquirizia, mirtillo, carciofo e altri ancora accompagnati da biscotti fatti in casa, molto buoni. eravamo in 3 e abbiamo speso poco meno di € 50 per testa, ottimo rapporto prezzo / qualità. grazie nino torneremo!"

As cherry on the cake, we were kicked out from think the owner, with the words There are people who are waiting to sit you have to rise despite we were going to stand up.. Dulcis in fundo, after this pearl of uneducation, while we were putting on the coats, the waiters shot the table under our arms.. When it's not for you, don't do this."
