"have tried to visit in front of the house, but not in the position to get a place, but managed to sit out today for lunch. the festive vegan option was buttermilk biskuit with wild mushrooms, sage wobble, roast sage leaves, jerusalian artichoke puree. they had fled from the keks, so it served with sourdough from the local bakery more artisan in staveley. it was a great court, I couldn't blame it, it was a shame to finish it, totally vicious. revisited for the breakfast and had baked heel framed with pulp crumb and maple syrup. the most decadent porridge I've ever eaten was faultless. Now I know why there's always a waiting queue and why it was so hard to get a place. highly recommended. updated by previous review on 2021-12-20"

Best avocado toast I've ever had, and I live in LA so that says a lot.

My favourite cafe / coffeehouse in Windemere, bar noneThe coffee, referring to espresso-based drinks, is really, really good.

Delicious mushrooms with delicious Avo on beautiful sourdough bread. Just a piece of bread, but it was big, and so much Avo so a good size share in total. A great brunch/lunch option! Updated by previous rating on 2022-06-04 Voir le carte

Been here a few times for coffee and it's always great. This time for food was stopped and blown away from him for the good. I had the baked Crème Brûlée oats with roasted peaches and it was honestly the best oat I ever had. Will be back

The mushrooms and avocado on sourdough bread were delicious. There was only one slice of bread, but it was large and had a generous amount of avocado, making it a satisfying portion. This dish is a great choice for brunch or lunch! (Rating updated on June 4, 2022)

We visited this restaurant on a cold day and had a delicious bowl of soup with crispy ciabatta. My partner enjoyed a fantastic single-origin filtered coffee and highly recommends it! I tried their orange hot chocolate with oats and loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also had a variety of tempting vegan cakes on display that are definitely worth trying. Updated review as of May 27, 2022. Voir le carte

We were unsure whether to wait when we saw the queue, especially as there was only one savoury vegan option, but we realised what all of the fuss was about once we had made it inside. The decor was incredibly Instagram worthy (if that’s your jam), the staff were friendly and there was a generally relaxed atmosphere. We both chose the buttermilk biscuit, not really knowing what to expect and a side of hash browns. Neither dish looked or tasted how we expected. They were both unusual and exceptional (in the best way)! The only downside for us was that because there was an ever growing queue outside, we felt that we shouldn’t linger.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were immediately impressed by the welcoming ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious menu. I tried the best coffee I have ever had (a oat milk latte, as I am quite picky about my coffee), enjoyed a tasty lunch, and indulged in a fabulous takeaway cake. I had the falafel burger, made with freshly roasted falafel, pickles, and spicy mayo, which was right up my alley. My partner opted for the vegan avocado toast with mushrooms and was equally impressed. We also couldn't resist taking away some of the chocolate cake and Jack fruit, both of which were delightful. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."
