The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and served hot. We look forward to returning.

Came in for football and a bite to eat, was quite busy so would recommend booking for food. Mixed grill and chicken mix platter good value for money. Staff seem friendly and bubbly.

Had a few drinks here today after returning from football groundhopping in Southwell And Newark. A few of us and girlfriends attended. More than happy with the selection of drinks on offer and reasonably priced too. Unfortunately no hot food today as there was no chef. However more than enough snacks on offer to fill the void. I had the misfortune of breaking down just outside the pub and managed to crawl onto their car park. After sitting in the car waiting for the breakdown service I went in to get a drink. The landlord wouldn’t let me pay for my drinks, something that was a small gesture but on a very stressful time for me (driving from Birmingham to Essex) made the world of difference.

Popped into to Hinckley Knight on the way home from an airport drop at BHX for a quick drink and to catch up with the nights football. Staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Managed to get the game I was particularly interested in on one of the TV’s. Great range of drinks including soft drinks and the food looked good. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area or just passing.

Food was awful. I ordered the spicy hot link sausage flatbread and what came out was not what I ordered and didn't look like anything like the pictures on the menu. It was a flatbread alright but it was obvious everything had been microwaved. The bread was soggy, the sausages were not the jalapeno and cheese hotlinks but were just batch cooked all day breakfast sausages that had been microwaved and were burnt to a crisp. Revolting. Avoid. We had a wonderful experience at Hinckley Knight! Kelly greeted us warmly and Dave and Kelly run a fantastic pub/restaurant. The staff was awesome and the service was amazing. It was a great place to eat and relax. We even got to catch up with Fliss Shannon before her shift started. Thank you so much for a great time, we won't wait so long to come back next time. When we arrived at the hotel, we encountered some issues due to a technical glitch. However, the staff were incredibly apologetic and went out of their way to accommodate us. Our group of four, including two children, had a wonderful experience thanks to Jake, the manager on duty. He was attentive and made sure all of our needs were met, ensuring our stay was comfortable. We truly appreciate Jake's efforts in making us feel at home, and the children were delighted to extend their stay. Thank you, Jake!

Visited solo late August 2023. Unfortunately I didn’t feel welcome at all. I was stared at by the locals watching football as I walked in (not pubs fault). The welcome I received from staff was poor. I felt unwelcome-there was no warmth or positivity. I asked where the toilet was and being honest I got the distinct impression they were laughing at me (yes I was wearing a Star Trek t shirt as on way home from a convention). I felt uncomfortable throughout which I didn’t appreciate as a solo diner. I didn’t have dessert as I wanted to leave quickly. However the food was good both in quality and quantity.
