A couple of us went here because we read good reviews on trip advisor. Fine atmosphere, good wine, great prices, food is very tasty and nothing but compliments for a very friendly staff. Definite thumbs up from up

Best late night restaurant in the world! You can get real food and wine when every restaurant in Germany closes the kitchen at 10. The food it 2 star quality! If the Tartar is available try it! It charges seasonally I think but every time...it's great. Wine list is not huge but well selected with thoughtful wineries and a good variety. This is a good Late night restaurant industry spot.

too casual for our taste, service friendly at the beginning, but as more people began to order, we were simply 'forget' f.e wein and water were not refilled, service was easy to worry for all guests right. eating was in order, though we were ready that the appetizers and glooms were too expensive. good wine list, though quite expensive. we left with mixed feelings; there are better possibilities in hamburg.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and visited on the basis of the good reviews. The food was presented beautifully but unfortunately we found some of the flavours combinations a bit strange (duck pate with chocolate sauce? . There was definitely more focus on style...rather than substance, and the service was not particularly friendly either. Overall I'd say the food was overpriced and pretentious. Having said that, the homemade bread was delicious!

You've heard all the notes, but you've never heard they're putting together like that. heroic place does what a Jewel. it is not only the impractical food, it is the device, the ambiente, the personal service, the subtle and inconspicuous soundtrack and even the...concern in cheeks on the conveniences. everything about this place just makes you smile. eating is smiling. the Michelin experience of the personal is obvious, but they do not try to produce that. they produce dishes that make them smile with their honest combination of aromen. the great george martin would have, if he had played these notions, considered him one of his greatest musical arrangements. thank you. hero place, I'm back...

eating was very good as you could expect from a top rated restaurant, but the service was definitiw not according to scale. the staff was nice, but our wein in a cooler to lay away from the table requires attention from the waitress. she was too busy somewhere else, so we had to signal twice that our glasses could be refilled. We hopped in a cab frustrated at not being able to find a restaurant, asking the cabbie to take us to a good restaurant district. We went to Heldenplatz on a weekday and had the set 5 course menu. We live in Hamburg and had heard so much good about this place and ended up being disappointed by both service and food. The greeting at the door was dutiful at...best and when I asked for the cloakroom the waiter gave off a lengthy explanation on their cloakroom system, sounding annoyed. A simple yes we do, may I handle your coats would have sufficed. He served us through most of the evening, too. Hearing him comment on my loud screaming (yes, I laughed about something at some point) to other costumers, was totally inappropriate. This restaurant offers two types of service, either you select à la carte or you select a 4 or 5 course set menu. The items in the set menus are present on the à la carte menu, so it 's not a special experience that the chef proposes....We therefore ordered à la carte as the two most appealing dishes we saw on the menu were not part of the 4 or 5 courses set menus. We had: pea risotto: very good, crunchy peas are super interesting. Good sized portion octopus: tender and well charred, as it should be done. venison: two big pieces, well cooked at medium rare. rabbit: big dish.
