"If you're on holiday around Titisee-Neustadt and looking for restaurants that serve rustic home-made food instead of the standard tourist fare, this is definitely worth the detour. Detour because although it's only km away from the lake in Titisee, it's rather hard to find....First of all, don't use the address provided by Trip Advisor, but the one indicated on the restaurant's site. However, in case your navsat sends you to an old derelict house and there's no restaurant in sight, keep driving ahead through the woods for another km because, yes, the place is kind of remote. The food is worth the trip, though, being very good and great value. The interior is very cosy and dogs are welcome."

Great quality typical german food. Family running it is very kind. We went with our family and we had a great time.

Cozy place with delicious home made food. With a main plate for anyone is more than enough. I really recommend this place.

Two times with my family. Every minute. There were different dishes and desserts. Everything was delicious and good. Very Back In Fair Prices

Terrible attitude of the staff. We ordered gin and slim line and they tried to calculate €25! and when challenged, it is a shame because environments are beautiful

Visited in the afternoon, so full menu apparently not available. However, your restricted menu is huge. About 25 items, including many really good cooked options. Good quality food and fresh salad buffet. Wide outdoor area, though a bit cool today. It's worth falling...in.

If you look for real An fair German food in a cosy hut, this is really the place to Be. The People are very friendly, the food is delicious, dogs are welcome, everything is tidy, ... You can only say positieve things about this restaurant....We Found the hut via the heiligbrunnen strasse, not via the address mentioned on tripadvisor.

The mushroom cream soup has a pleasant and pronounced wild mushroom taste pleasantly surprised. As a main I had the Heiligenbrunnen-style pork, with mushroom and bacon sauce, handmande noodles and salad (really nice and refreshing). Pork was cooked properly and the food combination was...amazingly tasty! Shared the black forest cake with a friend (big, more than enough for people). Also had warm apple cakes with vanilla sauce, cranberries and vanilla ice cream a surprisingly balanced and flavourful dish!

We located this via TA, and were not disappointed. As mentioned in other reviews, the location is magical and worth the visit if only for the journey there and back. Set about 5-6 minutes off the main Freiburg-Titisee highway, the greeting is wonderful (for dog-lovers...like us) with a big cuddly St Bernhard coming out to the car to say hello! The restaurant has a farmhouse-like feel to it, and the menu is varied and interesting. There is a salad bar from which the guest can choose either a side salad or a main course, and the remaining dishes include beef, veal lamb dishes as well as fish shellfish. All in all, well worth the visit.

"We were booked in May 2023 for 2 nights in 2 double rooms. I was present for one night. The “wellness hotel” declared by HRS was quite old and did not have an open indoor swimming pool and the day before our arrival we found out at short notice that the restaurant was also closed. We deliberately chose the hotel because of its own restaurant... The telephone availability was catastrophic, the owner justified this by saying that guests would often call for weather information from Tititsee. The owner, Mr. Franz, also assured me over the phone that they would accommodate the costs of my two dogs due to the inconvenience of the restaurant being closed. Since I was still of the old school when it came to the spoken word, I trusted his words and didn't take them in writing. When we left, however, the receptionist denied him that he wasn't in the house, but I had already seen him at breakfast. The lady at the reception told me that the boss had changed his mind and that there was no concession regarding the costs for 2 dogs. Cowardly act by an dishonest hotelier. I have never experienced anything like it. I travel privately and for business at least 180 days a year! So I paid 30.00 euros for one night in this flophouse for 2 small dogs. In comparison, the 5 star Hotel Roomers in Baden-Baden charges 29 euros for the 2 Yorkshire Terriers. The selection at breakfast is positive. The cleanliness in the room left something to be desired, there were black hairs in the freshly made bed. There was a used, probably unwashed blanket full of hair for the dogs. Conclusion: ONCE and NEVER again Rooms: If you don't value cleanliness, this is the place for you. Nearby activities: The thermal baths are in the immediate vicinity Walkability: Central location in Titisee"

"For years we have been making a carnival holiday in Hinterzarten and until last year we have always been home guests in the Schwarzwaldhof; details about the hotel and the restaurant I am saving at this point, that can be all on the Internet under [here link] also the menu. Especially at the carnival time (or even at Christmas) there is a lot of going on in hints and in most restaurants you have to get really luck without booking; this applies both at lunchtime and in the evening. Individuals or couples may have luck; Groups are odd. We ate the peasant vesper plate at the peasant stable of the Schwarzwaldhof in the afternoon; as they already know and at the price of just EUR 7.00, this plate is already almost unbeatable. Two slices of coarse liver and bloodworm, each two slices of swarms, bacon and black forests of hamspeck, onion rings, cucumbers and dark peasant bread. Tastes really very good and is saturating until evening when you brush the plate completely. Here the price/performance ratio is really very harmonious; for all dishes, especially from the lunch or evening ticket, this does not apply in the Schwarzwaldhof. And for me a little manko on the edge: there is no red house but Fürstenberg! The ambience in the peasant stüble is extremely rustic and somewhat antiqued in the other restaurant rooms. The rooms are okay; above all we liked the tower room with skybed very well! Our serviceman in the Stüble was, first of all, talkable, and straight to a Lexicon on two legs; for hours, I wouldn't have carried him, good friend back or back!"
