Hawksmoor Guildhall

a few sirloin steaks with chips and spinat, washed with a full glass of red wine for lunch. I think I could make it all dinner again.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - regardless of which location you go to, The Hawksmoor has some of the best steak in London.

Good service despite it being very busy. The portion sizes are large and the food quality good. The stuffing is outstanding. Cheese at £4 per selection is good value. The wine list is extensive albeit a little on the expensive side. Overall an enjoyable meal but with all the extra's (sides, one bottle of wine, one short, no starters) at little expensive at circa £268 for 4 people.

On arrival this looks fairly small,but that is ground floor reception, down the stairs to a significantly larger space spanning several ground floor front doors. Great menu, dominated by steak, no surprise there. We were there on a deal, two courses. A great tomato and cheese salad starter. Both went for the steak mains, medium rare fantastic The some brilliant deserts . Only drawback is as the vast space filled up the noise level got too high!

since hawksmoor first rolled out, it restaurants in london has developed the competition for steak-focused restaurants considerably, but I think the offer here is still consistent in the top animal. had a nice rib-eye steak at a business lunch, compliment of an enormous wein. list and attentive waiting staff. what distinguishes this place from goodmans is a better range of pages that I find essential for a steak. fine hand cutting chips (for someone who prefers French fries), framed spinat and a mac and cheese were pretty good. the ketchup was not hot and lack of taste. overall very good and not badly expensive. We visited on the January to celebrate our anniversary and had friends join us. Everything was fantastic. From the moment we walked through the door the service was outstanding. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and we went down to the bar for...a pre-dinner drink. Our food was absolutely amazing, starters mains and we just about had room for dessert (which was a lovely anniversary decorated sticky toffee pudding). The quality of the food was excellent. The staff are so well trained and so unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be back and will certainly be recommending this restaurant. Thank You to all involved for a wonderful anniversary celebration.

Never felt compelled to write a review ever before. Not a person who complains much about food in general. Until, this one evening during the weekend dining out. We had booked table of people with sharing menu of We were served our shared...sharers. Then, main course we were served our three steaks T-bone, chateaubriand and bone-in prime rib for sharing. Plus, a four pots of chips, two creamed spinach and two mash potatoes. We were literally, just served with three steaks' of each or so to share amongst the eight of us. The whole table was momentarily stunned to a few moments of bewilderment. We worked out we would of've been ordering al carte menu with our own choice of starters, steaks and...

the dining room is down and a surprisingly large room, wooden dressed and maybe because the noise levels are high. but the tables are well spaced and you never feel crowded, and the ambiente has failed. Although there is a...excellent selection of starters, we decided to move directly to the main event that is necessarily the steaks at hawksmoor. I traveled a lot in the usa and have often eaten at legendary US steak houses, but my sirloin (rare) was so good or better than the best I had in the usa. beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked and completely delicious. a good steak is a thing of beauty and that was, without asking, a good steak a very good steak. the sprouts were also excellent, th...
