We were looking for a place near our hotel and walked by Harry Morgan.

Terrible service We were there mid morning and there were only 2 other tables.

I visited a New York style deli in the upscale neighborhood of St. John's Wood in London. For lunch, I enjoyed the special which included a bowl of soup and a half sandwich.

It might be 30 years ago.... The salt beef, latkas and braised celery was brilliant when my father in law had a photo studio around the corner from Harry Morgans. They also had lokshen pudding to die for. We'll be going back to check it out soon. We hope its as good as it was.

this place reminds me of a deli in nyc! on the menu its classic Eastern European dishes including potato latki and salty bark. very lively restaurant at any time. eating is good, but the service is slow and confusing. destined to try a place if they are in the opposite, but would not do any special trip for them. One of the best New York style deli in town. For starters you can opt for the traditional chicken soup and follow it up with a salt beef sandwich. Their deserts are delightful minus the icing the carrot cake was near perfect and the blueberry cheese almost on par. Around busier time the service can be a little sub par but overall still a very nice establishment.

Lurking behind the Chinese communities around the globe in numbers must be, to my narrow-minded belief, the Jewish. While my great-great grannies bring their woks along when they emigrated from China, the good Jewish people keep with them the Kashrut, generally and perhaps not fully understood by the term Kosher. This, I must admit, is perplexing to a religious alien like me. Basically, I would explain this as a Jewish prep tradition: that the slaughtered animals must be blessed and cleansed off their impurity. Blood must be drained and meat must be salted over and over. Henry Morgans has everything from great breakfast to delicious dinner. Despite the look of the place (quite average on the inside of the restaurant), the food is delightful and great quality. If you belong to the group of people that went over to Grandma's house and had her chicken soup you will love this place. Whenever I feel a little homesick, I also come to this restaurant for their Chicken Noodle Soup with some carrots inside. You can have it with different things, like sliced pancakes, some meatballs, dumplings and pieces of chicken. A large soup is enough to fill you up, and is a great and light lunch.
