"Achtung: Die alten Bewertungen bei Google beziehen sich auf das griechische Lokal, das hier früher war.Mein heutiger Eindruck zum in diesem Jahr hier eröffneten indischen Restaurant: Es war wenig los, was bei der Uhrzeit (vor 12) aber normal ist. Schon beim Öffnen der Tür hat man den Duft von indischen Gewürzen/Essen in der Nase. Ich wurde schnell und sehr höflich bedient. Da das Lokal mit einer dermaßen schlecht geschriebenen Speisekarte startete, dass der ganze Landkreis darüber lachte, war ich hier positiv überrascht; man hat nachgebessert und die schöne Speisekarte ist jetzt übersichtlich und klar verständlich. Der andere Gast brauchte etwas Beratung, der Wirt hat sich dafür freundlich Zeit genommen. Das indische Essen kam sehr schnell und war sehr schmackhaft und auch schön angerichtet. Während der kurzen Wartezeit konnte ich mich etwas umschauen. Ein paar Reste des griechischen Lokals sind noch erkennbar, aber der Wirt hat sich mit indischer Deko bemüht, den Gast nach Indien zu bringen. Der Gastraum war auffällig sauber. Es gibt auch deutsche Gerichte und Pizza (bei letzterer gab es ein paar Abholungen während meiner Zeit dort).Fazit: Ich war positiv überrascht und komme gerne wieder! Das Lokal ist eine Bereicherung für den Landkreis Regen und ich hoffe, dass die Leute die indische Küche annehmen."

"After a day of trying to figure out the bus system in Zwiesel, including an unexpected hike to the Nachmann Crystal outlet in the boondocks, we returned to town looking for a good meal and a good beer. On the downtown square across from the...fountain, we found the Dampfbrau. It is not the brewery which is in another part of town, but it sells its beer on tap. We walked just before they were ready to take their afternoon break before dinner, but our waiter was gracious and friendly, and we were welcomed. The beer was a wonderful dark concoction (it means steam beer) and our meal selections were amazing. I had a beef roast smothered in a cream mushroom sauce (with the local steinpilz mushrooms). My husband had a brisket in a cream sauce. We were surprised to find the meat was similar to corned beef, and so tender it didn't need a knife. It was covered with a delicious light horseradish cream sauce and a sprinkling of horseradish on top. As we were waiting for our meal, we met the resident Wolpertinger (the iPod translator actually translated this as Jackalope, I kid you not), apparently the mascot of the local schnapps distillery. We had to put that visit off for another time."

"Small, very cozy guesthouse in Zwiesel with around 30 places. Excellent food. Wild boar, steam beer goulash with bread dumplings, crusted roast and Kaisersmarrn. Everything sucks. I found the children's menu particularly positive and the fact that some dishes also come in small portions. There are also salads, cheese patties, etc. that vegetarians are happy with. Three main courses, 2 desserts and 5 drinks for 80€ absolutely fine. And great hosts. Will definitely visit again."

"Definitiv einen Besuch wert, da hier wirklich jeder etwas findet! Die Karte erstreckt sich über Bayerische Schmankerl über Steaks zu Süßspeisen - und sogar Veganer werden fündig (das hat mir persönlich gestern Nachmittag "das Leben gerettet" und mich sehr glücklich gemacht!) und schafft es trotzdem, übersichtlich zu bleiben. Die Bedienung ist sehr, sehr nett und richtig bemüht, das Richtige für jeden auf den Tisch zu bringen.Ein Tipp ist bei schönem Wetter auf die tolle Terrasse zu gehen :)Vielen Dank für ein entspanntes Mittagessen! :)"

"We never miss an opportunity to visit this excellent restaurant and we are obviously not alone as there are always lots of tables occupiedby locals and visitors. Situated across the road from the forest railway station and about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town it is traditional in decor but the food ranges from traditional to modern. Try the salads or as I do make sure the main course you choose comes with a salad and the dressings are wondeful. The service is friendly and good to see them in the traditional "Dirndles"."
