"We went to Gusto this evening to celebrate my god-daughter's birthday, as we have done many times before. Unfortunately, I have to say that the experience was awful. Despite our table being booked for 7:15, we were not seated until 7:35. The manager, Martin, took us to a table downstairs that was not our original choice, next to a drafty door with no atmosphere. It took over 30 minutes to order our drinks and another 30 minutes to receive them, as there was apparently a backup at the bar. It should not be difficult to open two bottles of wine and make a mojito. We ordered food at 8:00 and received our starters at 8:40. There was only one server, a lovely girl, who was very apologetic when we were paying. However, she was running downstairs almost on her own, so she could not provide the service that we should have received. When we asked to speak to the manager to have the service charge deducted, Martyn did not apologize and instead tried to blame us, his staff, and others at our table. He claimed to have done everything he could, but in our opinion, his response was completely inappropriate. We were not seeking a discount or free items, just a sincere apology, which we did not receive. Unfortunately, Gusto is no longer a restaurant we will be visiting."

The food has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine so do not go if you fancy real Italian food. All the dishes we ordered had exactly the same ingredients: pulled pork and tomato sauce. Just fyi: I’m Italian and pulled pork is definitely not an Italian dish and definitely not a pizza topping. Lazy. Unauthentic. Incredibly overpriced. The waiting staff were nice although the venue is obviously understaffed.

I had a great experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was genuine and tasty with rich flavors, but the portion sizes were a bit smaller. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, although the music was too loud for my liking. The staff was friendly, but somewhat inattentive. It took a while to place our orders and get the bill. Despite this, I had a enjoyable meal and would like to see improvements in volume control and service speed. Voir le carte

We visit gusto regularly made the most of the January 50% off offer. It’s always friendly service a good varied choice on the menu. The lovely aroma of garlic pizza bread always prompts me to order a side portion to satisfy the garlic craving. If you fancy a smaller meal, there’s the option of a small portion of the pasta dishes. It’s always busy with a pleasant buzz of activity giving it a nice atmosphere without being too loud. As a returning customer, the staff always pop over to say hello welcome back. Great customer service good food.

We made a reservation for the last night of the January 50% off promotion and invited family to join us. We were seated at a lovely table towards the back of the restaurant and our drinks were served promptly while we looked over the menus. We each ordered different starters and main courses, and everything was delicious and served in generous portions. The service throughout the evening was excellent, thanks to the efficient and friendly Juan who was attentive and professional. This experience was just as good as our regular visits to Gusto in Leeds. Thank you, Juan!

Visited this week with a group of 5 friends. No welcome at the door. Service incredibly slow. Half an hour to take our order, and food did not arrive all at the same time. The food was delicious when it did arrive. After our first round of drinks, that was it. No one came back to offer subsequent drinks. After paying the bill, no staff to see us out, or say goodbye. We felt as though we were an inconvenience. We meet up at Gusto’s in Knutsford regularly, but this is our last time. It’s not the first time this has happened. A meal should be an occasion, and this was not. Voir le carte

Went at 6.30pm for Gustos half price food offer. Previous meals we had there were tasty and great, service always good as it was that night. Gustos were you having a laugh this time? The only main meat course on the full menu available was a choice of only a sole chicken or pork dish. Our starters prawns and meatballs were rather tasteless. The limited (forced choice) of main was a luke warm, dry chicken breast cut in half sitting on some oily tomatoes and potatoes. Expressed our disatisfaction. Left main course uneaten and went home to cook something. Least the wine was tasty. What's happened to you Gusto Knutsford , so disappointed ??

Came here for my 20th Birthday, the customer service felt as if they didn’t want us here, not greeted with a smile and every time we asked for a drink or requested something it was a short answer of yes no mannerism for a paying customer, when serving food it was just put in front of us no enjoy your meal and no questions of if we were in need of anything eg:more drinks/sauces. When ordering deserts we asked for 10 minutes for our food to settle and got told the kitchen is closing pressuring us to order now instead of relaxing, as well as telling the waiter it was my birthday there was nothing to celebrate, no happy birthday plate or drink or anything. It’s almost as if there was no care/rec...

"We came across this rather charming cafe whilst venturing the streets of Knutsford early one morning. The cafe looked impressive upon initial glance from the outside, whilst inside very clean. We were greeted quickly, seated immediately and the owner came back with our menus. We noticed there was also an upstairs area so in essence it was a decent size for a cafe. The place opens everyday, 8.45am 5.pm The postcode of the cafe is WA16 6ED, It was difficult to park outside but there was a car park on Malt Street, just around the corner, WA16 6DX. Toilets were upstairs, scrupulously clean. We ordered the Eggs Benedict which was priced at £10.00 the Omelette priced at £10.80 both decent value as both meals were delicious. The only critique was on our time here we encountered loud and boisterous fellow diners who seemed not to care about keeping the voices down which made it difficult to hear your own conversations. This is not the fault of the cafe, just unfortunate, that said, the cafe does have an open plan kitchen and the noise which comes from the kitchen was what sounded like continuous banging of pans etc, this could be easily rectified if the placed doors onto the kitchen to minimise the noise entering the dining area. All in all, a lovely cafe, decent value, superb food cooked to perfection, fresh ingredients and an extensive menu range, We will definitely come here again when next visiting the North West."

"I had pre-booked a table for six, including three babies. I was informed that three prams wouldn't fit, which was totally understandable, but I was assured there would be room for one pram and two high chairs. We made sure to bring travel prams that could fold small enough to fit in the cloakroom, and one of us even left their pram in the car. However, I was provided with a broken and unsafe high chair. When I requested a different one, a very rude staff member basically told me to deal with it. The pub was also uncomfortably hot and crowded, and we were seated right next to a fire. When we arrived, the fire was unlit, but a staff member came over to light it just behind one of the prams. I politely asked if he could leave it unlit since my baby was already feeling warm, but he ignored my request and went ahead anyway. The food, as always, was delicious, but out of the six of us, only four ordered the lamb dinner, which consisted of just one very lean lamb chop per person. The shared vegetable dishes for all six of us included only one small dish of greens, one small dish of cauliflower cheese, and one boat of gravy. Overall, I felt like we were being rushed and that our presence was more of an inconvenience. I'm genuinely disappointed because I used to highly recommend this place to my friends. After today, I’ll certainly think twice before returning. It's just not worth it, especially if you have children! Safety: Terrible Service: 1 Location: 1 "

"I visited The Railway Inn with 14 others for a Sunday lunch a few days ago. We rarely see one another so it was an occasion for us all. I was immediately greeted by frowns and cold shoulders at the bar when ordering drinks. I let it go. We all have bad days. We then sat for our meals. I had the Beef Dinner. The beef was dry and tough and swamped in a tasteless beige gravy that was literally dribbling off the edges of the plate. It was, sadly, the worst Sunday Lunch I've had. Still, I didn't want to spoil the occasion. When the meal was finished we wanted to sit outside in the large garden. We asked and was given rolled-eyes from the waitress who seemed irritated at our wish to go sit in the sun. Ooookay. I then went back to the bar to order another drink and heard three members of staff, including the very rude and flat-out obnoxious lady pulling pints, moaning loudly about having to sweep the floor near the high-chair we had at our table. The high-chair, of course, had a little toddler in it, and she sadly dropped a few crumbs. How dare she!? Well, they weren't happy. This was an appalling experience from beginning to end. I'm no stranger to poor service. It's a common occurrence, but I think this might just be the worst I've encountered in a long, long time. Food was bad. Service was horrendous. We spent around £350 in food and drinks here on this afternoon, and I wish we'd gone somewhere else. All 15 of us will refrain from visiting this location again, and we urge anyone else considering a nice meal out to find somewhere else to go and enjoy. The beer garden here is a sizeable one, but it isn't worth the rest of the awful stuff just to enjoy a table in a field."
