"Our family group stopped here we saw it sitting up on the hillside and decided to stop by. What a spectacular view of the mountains and the food was delicious. We ate outside on the patio and it was just wonderful. We had...coffee and dessert and we could have eaten more. You could go inside to see all the desserts in the dessert case which made the decision of what to have even that much more difficult. The staff was very nice and the inside of the restaurant was decorated very much in the southern German style. We would love to be able to stay here sometime and will definitely come back during our next visit with family in Germany. You can also hear the cows with their cowbells grazing in the pastures around the area."

The best place in Mittenwald views spectacular, food great, loved the whole experience. Staff very helpful. This was our third trip to Mittenwald and the most memorable.

stopped here after the ascent and descent of the mountain, beautiful location, friendly staff and good food. Cake, ice and puff art cakes seem to be what the locals eat there and they looked very good!

Worth the walk up the hill to this large restaurant which is part of the hotel. Fantastic view over the town from the terrace, lovely wood panelled dining room inside. Food was good, staff efficient if not overly friendly. Good choice. Voir le carte

we found one of these rare Bavarian restaurants with authentic alpine interieur. very cozy with good food (deer, cheese/spink balls) and beautiful “cellar beer” (cloudy bier). we had a nice evening! recommended: ask for a table near the bar or in the authentic mountaineer... area of the restaurant!

a wonderful restaurant with magnificent views of the mountains and the middle forest below. a large selection of cakes and the special puff cakes that are more than delicious. faster and friendly service. there is a playground for the children with a trample, so they can. enjoy their incredible desert and don't let it whisper.

we spent a very nice relaxing time here admire wonderful impressive panoramic views. complete house has many massive wood equipment and material control around them find thousands of interesting details and outside they can live a lot about builders and. tools in the mountains around here. the staff was very polite, helpful and multilingual. Coffee and cake are simply wonderful. Voir le carte

This restaurant is about minutes away from the centre (by foot). But it is worth the effort! We made a reservation by email and got a quick response. Nice welcome in a classical Bayrisch restaurant. That goes for the furniture as well as the...menu. The place was full. We both ate the Grobl Pfanderl Good meat, not greasy with some warm vegetables and a kind of rosties. Together with some wine, water and a dessert and coffee we paid . Certainly a place where we would go back to.

My husband ordered the Grilled Meats and I ordered the Broiled Pike-Perch Fillet. We ordered the Apricot Dumplings for dessert. Our food was very good and unique. We also found our new favorite white wine called Lieblicher Wachauer. There is parking right outside the restaurant....We made reservations about a week in advance and my only suggestion is that if you want a seat with a view, make sure to put that in your request. We ended up sitting in the corner away from the windows and they were only seating in one room that night.

"we visited the market restaurant for the first time and tried to eat here every later visit. we were not always successful because we were not sufficiently reserved in advance. I have reserved for our lunch today, and it would seem that lunch is a little easier to get a reservation. when we entered into us, we spent our entire walk in our apartment and talked about every single court we had in our four-course lunch. everyone was spectacular. the chef combines ingredients, aromas, textures and even article temperatures in a way that I had rarely experienced. my wife and I live in the san francisco bay area, and there are several restaurants that are listed michelin, and some that have stars. none of our local places are these innovative when it comes to bringing together courts. during our current visit, we decided again for the four-course lunch. the small starter who came before these four curses was remarkably tasty and playful in his presentation. it was another example for the clever use of contrasting textures and aromen in the construction of aligned. from the four curses that followed, the cortex tars was our favorite, and a beautiful representation of what I say. I had bark tars in many restaurants and in several countries. I never had one that was as vague as the one in the market restaurant. Sometimes you hear a combination, say for example ahi tartare and shaved white chocolate, and you could say that this would never work, but you would be wrong. this court I had in paris was an eye opener. the tartaric acid on the market has a similar character. the bark was in a “cloth” based on buttermilk, and the mild killing of buttermilk was irritable with the bark. it had a senfeis upstairs! how could that work? we loved it. there was a crispy mustard crumb. on the side of the bark were small amounts of liquid lemon cured. there were so many things that went before themselves in a court, and if there are so many things, you fear that they will not intercept. that was not the case here. I thought it was just brilliant. we also enjoyed our other courses very much. everyone had similar clever and delicious elements. we had a wonderful lunch. I will say if they are on a budget and travel with the family, this cannot be the best for them. I don't eat like that every day. if they are looking for an extravagant, exquisite meal that will be the culinary highlight of their visit, then they will go to the market restaurant. my wife and I often eat out, and among the highly valued restaurants closer to home is a michelin three-star restaurant that we dine. if I would compare market restaurant with this restaurant, I would rather only have a meal in the market restaurant than ten meals in the three-star restaurant, and that would be true if they were all paid by someone. the service is professional, but unpretentious, attentive, but not intrusive. the courts are innovate, but work. it's just a great culinary experience. next time we visit the middle of the forest, we will be sure to visit the restaurant again. our meals were simply amazing. I hope they can try the restaurant and enjoy it as much as we do. it's a bit pampered, but I don't know a place in the san francisco bay area I'm excited about."
