It is a cozy restaurant with delicious food! I had calamari with artichoke and rhubarb dessert with strawberries and really enjoyed it. Nice service as well!

The food was delicious, I had the short rib and it was perfect. There was a dog in the restaurant that was crying and barking which was strange. Great wine list BTW

Dinner with a wonderful view in a most romantic setting. We've had tagliatelle with truffles and a variation of mushrooms, accompanied by bunch of champagne! Best birthday dinner ever.

The Grill is the 2nd of 3 restaurants at Villa D'Este. While a jacket and tie is not required for the guests, staff are still very formally dressed and the menu (and prices) is basically the same as for the Veranda. Why bother?

We have returned many times to this fine establishment which is part of the Villa D’este hotel. Ambience , service food is first class ,just like the rest of this fine hotel. Recommend the sea bass. Will keep coming back without any hesitation

We had late dinner. Ordering 4 starters , orata fillet and gnocchi.Millefoglie as dessert. Everything was very good and fresh, the service is really excellent and nice. The millefoglie is fantastic. Great view and atmosphere.It was windy and they gave us a blanket. I loved the homemade cookies they gave us with the bill and they were so nice to give me a few bring home. Elegant staff, they make you feel at home even if you are in one of the world's most exclusive hotel. Just one thing: It's time also for Italy to forbid smoking in all restaurants even outdoor.

We had dinner our first evening at this beautiful hotel. However, our dinner at The Grill was the most disappointing of our trip through Italy. Everything was fine, until a dinner group arrived. After their arrival, the entire staff focused their undivided attention on them. We never received our appetizers, never checked on our table, and eventually had to demand our dinner. Our dinner finally arrived after the “other” table completed their meal. Our server explained that they were old important customers of the hotel. I explained that they should have never accepted our reservation. We were insultingly offered a piece of cake as an apology as we finished our meal in an empty restaurant. We...

This restaurant is located at the Villa D'Este. It is informal so jackets are not required but it is still elegant like the The Veranda restaurant which is more formal. Everyone loved their meals. The pumpkin ravioli appetizer was perfect served with a veal sauce and shaved Parmesan. The mushroom risotto with shaved truffles was creamy and served in a heated bowl. Very tasty. The favorite fish was the sea bass served on a bed of tiny beans, zucchini and carrots with clams. The sea bass is mild whereas the bream fish has a much stronger taste and is a thinner fillet. Last night we dined at Veranda (also at Villa D’Este) which was exquisite. Their less formal Ristorante Grill, where we dined tonight, was a revelation. 1st Maitre ‘D Rodio Massimiliano’s warm welcome was a precursor for the culinary excellence with service to match, which followed. Informal doesn’t mean that standards are below those at Veranda...not at all! The cooking at Ristorante Grill is first class and the dishes are all beautifully presented. Our evening had started with drinks on Villa D’Este’s gorgeous terrace, with their resident pianist adding to the atmosphere of this world class hotel.
