The service is not so fast but always friendly. Probably we were there at an outskirts and there was less staff present. Price, quality and ambience absolutely satisfactory.

We were there for lunch today at 3:00. Everything was perfect, from service to food and the Kaiserschmarrn to dessert, just a poem. We can definitely recommend the Golden barrel!

Christian Henze, together with his wife and team, created something very great for special in Kempten. Certainly for most people not a spot to eat there daily, but certainly for special occasions! The food has always been extremely tasty, the staff is friendly and very interested in the guest, but not intrusive. The wine selection is excellent (the Primitivo is not from this world. *Sorry. A small piece of jewellery is the vault of the wine cellar, in which I was unfortunately not allowed to dine yet, but which will be happy to do for a special occasion. We stayed there in December for our Christmas party and found it all great through the bank. The food was always very good from greeting from the kitchen over the 3-4 courses and more than sufficient from the portion, so that the dessert was already connected with some presses, however it was possible.
