"We reserved a table at this popular restaurant a month in advance, and it turned out to be a wise decision, as they were turning away walk-in guests when we arrived. The menu features a variety of classic options, and we appreciated the chance to create a multi-course meal at a fixed price. To start, we ordered the fried tiger prawns and the rare beef crispy salad. For our main courses, we chose the roasted hake and the feather blade of beef. Every dish was absolutely delicious, showcasing the restaurant's emphasis on high-quality ingredients. The ambiance was lovely, with dim lighting that set the perfect mood for a date night. The service was excellent, making for a wonderful evening overall."

Fantastic food and great staff! The drinks were excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I rarely give a 5-star rating, but this place deserves it! Highly recommend!

The food was fantastic! I ordered the beef, which was both tender and flavorful, paired with deliciously soft and fluffy mashed potatoes. I highly recommend the tender lamb chops as well—they're an explosion of flavor! The dessert was indulgent and delightful. The service was excellent, and we were able to find a table for four without needing a reservation. Voir le carte

Amazing!! Innovative, interesting and delicious food!! Started with the smoked salmon appetizer as well as the pear, blue cheese and candied pecan appetizer and neither disappointed! Then on to the hake and seabass with patatas bravas entrees, so amazing and I'm not even a potato lover! The service is impeccable and extremely helpful!! This is a must while in Belfast!

The staff here are exceptional and welcoming, and the food is always outstanding. It’s packed with flavor but without the typical heaviness or unhealthy cooking methods found in many restaurants. I've visited several times, and the quality has been consistently top-notch. I highly recommend making this your first choice for lunch or dinner in Belfast. Don't hesitate—choose this place!

A charming bistro in Belfast! One of our taxi drivers suggested that we make a reservation for dinner, as it is one of his favorite spots. We ordered the pork belly as our main course and a cheese platter for dessert. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, including our hostess, waiter, and even the two ladies at the table next to us. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Belfast! Voir le carte

My husband and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us even without a reservation, and the other reviews were completely accurate. The food was delicious, the waitstaff was outstanding and very friendly, and our meals arrived relatively quickly despite how busy they were. The adult beverages were also quite delightful! Thank you for a wonderful last meal in Belfast before we set off for our next destination in the morning.

Pretty good little place. A bit hard to find from the street as there is no sign directly on the main store front on the street. However, look for a large glass front with seats on the inside. Tasty little menu, very farm to table. If you're looking for authentic Irish food this is not the place to go. However it was good. I started with the French onion soup which came with a side of soda bread. It was very good and served piping hot. For my main course I had the lamb dish with a side of mashed potatoes. Again very tasty. While I certainly enjoyed my meal, ext time I pass through Belfast I would like to try something authentic.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
