Wonderful restaurant with good service. The waitress and the entire staff were very helpful to recommend dishes that translate the menu. The Munich Schnitzel was excellent.

Very good German option. Interesting you cannot read the menu not because the language but because the letter. Very good schnitzel and pork, salad, potatoes, everything was good. Perfect option and very reasonable prices

We were staying in a nearby hotel where the food was expensive and not so good. While we really wanted to eat at the Alte Post the handwritten menu outside was incomphrenesibly stylish and therefore illegible. Next time please type the menu!

We were diverted from our original flight from Florence to Frankfurt to Munich instead. Lufthansa put us in a hotel with what is possibly the worst buffet on the planet so we ventured out hoping to make the most of a bad situation. We were welcomed and the young lady behind the bar was super helpful, very knowledgeable about the menu and the area and helped us choose something to make up for our sad experience at the other hotel. Thanks for your suggestions. Homemade and delicious.

Ate here while staying at a chain hotel next door, lovely food and service in a charming small traditional restaurant. Had a good salad, great schnitzel and wonderful apfel kuchen for dessert. And beers and a schnapps, indulging in my last Bavarian meal before heading home to Oregon. I travel to Munich annually and this is the real thing. Highly recommended, and yes the menu is in a flowery traditional script but it’s short and the staff will give you a quick and comprehensive oral translation.

This was a lucky find, as I was very late arriving in Munich after a long drive back from South Tirol, and checking into a hotel. I 'm a great fan of Bavarian food. The Biergarten was well lighted and seemed very cheerful on a warm late Summer evening. I was entertained greatly by the menu, which was handwritten in nice Germanic script. I chose a beef dish with mushrooms and kartoffelklose and sauerkraut. A half liter of Helles to wash everything down aided my enjoyment of this well prepared meal. Large portions. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Will probably return on my next visit to Munich.
