I though this was a vegeterian restaurant, there's not that many vegeterian options and to be honest, there's one or two vegan options which isn't that friendly also is super spicy

I love Indian food. in particular the norh indians and punjabi delikatessen, a taste that was both acquired by family dinners and a visit to rajasthan. but snud sad, I had less pleasant experiences with South Indian cuisine. ganapati should be my 2nd chance to delete my impressions and, although it is not next to the northern counterpart, it was redeemed. ganapati is located in a beautiful opposite of peckam, near 2 quiet gardens. the place is simple and evocatiw of a keralan village on the water, with simple wooden chairs and tables, under the view of a welcoming ganesh, the elefantengott. We went to Ganapati after seeing the rating on UrbanSpoon with friends. We ordered one starter between us Prawn Peree this was very good and it got our hopes up for the main meal. Three of us decided to share our main meals while my wife being vegetarian settled for the Vegetarian Thali. All our three main courses had something missing The Lamb had a typical taste and smell that comes from not properly removing the fat before cooking it in Indian preparation. The Malabar Prawn was too bland and had big chunks of tomato which isn't normally the case with Malabar Prawn. Indian Summer. This might just might have nudged its way into being my new favourite local restaurant. Managed to get a late table in the very pleasant little outdoor courtyard at the back, towered over by monster bamboo. Extremely friendly service. Crab Thoran to start for me, accompanied by a yoghurt sauce. Fragrant and extremely moreish, so I didn't do as much swapping as I should have with bloke's Vegetarian Street Snacks, but then again they seemed to disappear quickly too. What a difference 24 hours can make. After a very disappointing night at a tourist Indonesian restaurant in Central London, we end up at a great little South India joint in Peckham. I've never been to Peckham before, well only on a Saturday night when Del Boy would find his way on to my teatime tele viewing. I was a young lad way back in the early 80's.
