"fritz mitte is the legendary, most famous pommes bude in jena and is a central meeting point everyone knows. And because it is so well known, there are now 2 two in jena: the first fritz mitte stands as a column-shaped building (at GDR times it should have been a toilet house) at the beginning of the wagnergasse and the newer, second fritz mitte (hergasse) there they can also sit comfortably inside and not just stand outside as in the wagnergasse. the pommes are in the regular long, thick, flat, rather juicy and big. most of them like to stand for a long time. at least I've never seen fritz without a long robbery/growth. they offer different dips (e.g. rosmarin, parmesan, remoulade, I still think something with honey and certainly also something pubic, but I don't care.) currywurst is there when I remember correctly, also vegan or vegetarian. they can bring their own packaging (in coronatime there was even a discount, they don't know if it is.) the personal makes a cool impression, we laughed together. the price is reasonable given the amount they receive."

Pommes waren nicht lecker, total voll Fett gesogen... Ambiente (Mobiliar) ist toll... Wie das Essen zum Verzehr im Laden serviert wird, finde ich nicht so toll... Pommes mit Currywurst auf kleiner Pappe mit Holzspießer

In any case very delicious food, great selection regarding the Majos and taste as good as all. Here you can go, whether during the lunch break, a small snack between meals or meals. I can always give it to me and can only recommend it!

Bin echt enttäuscht in letzter Zeit… gab Zeiten wo ich regelmäßig mit Freunden mal eine Currywurst mit Pommes gegessen hab und mega zufrieden war. Mittlerweile einfach nicht mehr geniessbar, die Currywurst trocken und halb verkohlt, die Pommes kalt und durch geweicht und die Portionen werden auch immer kleiner. Super leckere, knusprige Pommes mit so vielen leckeren Saucen! Ein Highlight war für mich vor allem die vegane agaven-chimichurri mayo. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist meiner Meinung nach top, man bekommt wirklich ne ordentliche Portion für sein Geld und an der Mayo wird auch keinesfalls gespart. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

What happend to my Fritz? Leider muss ich immer wieder feststellen, dass im laufe der Jahre Fritz Mitte nicht mehr das ist was es einmal war. Das die Preise steigen verstehe ich zu 100% aber das sowohl die Portionsgrößen als auch die Qualität stetig schlechter wird , finde ich nicht ok. Mittlerweile bekommt man gefühlt nur noch eine halbe Wurst verglichen mit dem ursprünglichen Produkt) auch die Menge der Pommes ist bedeutend geringer. Des Weiteren ich hoffe man kann es auf dem Foto erkennen) habe ich heute eine Wurst erhalten, die einfach nur trocken war und wirkte als wäre sie das 3. mal aufgewärmt oder halt lange warmgehalten worden.
