Fischer's At Baslow Hall

Our third visit to Fischers and wonderful food and service again. Each course was well cooked and worked together well. And very good value at under £50 for a 4 course lunch.

I haven't eaten here since the new cook took over and I don't know why I haven't visited before. the food really brings them to the trip and fulfills every taste buds the wee Compliment the dishes perfectly

this can be one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. the confiscated lamb is to die. the waitress who served me (unfortunately not got their names), knew of every dish on the menu. the cocktail menu was in the deep and beautiful

Very disappointing. Over the years we have consistently enjoyed our meals at Fischers, be it for lunch or dinner. This is first time we have been since lockdown and believe it must be a new chef. Although the presentation of the food was outstanding unfortunately...the taste and choices available were not.

Beautiful old and elegant building, the grounds look stunning but on a very wet day we didn’t get to explore. The staff were excellent, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and very well presented. A very traditional restaurant with crisp white tablecloth’s, hopefully we...will return in better weather and maybe stay over.

This is our second visit, we last came in the summer. Both times we had the tasting menu... Wow, what can I say, but exceptional both times. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make your stay the best, plus very informative....The hall and the grounds are beautiful... My only suggestion, is that The Barn become dog friendly, then we would be here all the time ... The Fischers have a beautiful home and a wonderful team working with them.. Thank you once again and see you in the spring for foraging xx

stay at fischers on 6/2/22 at a price of £520, we would have expected something special! the evening meal was very usually inspiring. breakfast was full English or Haddock-no obst, no smoked salmon, open they can better in local caffe.! but the best was last kept! when I handed over my hard earned 520 English pounds, the woman on the writing had to ask the boldness “and want her to add a congratulation to her bill sir!” to say that I am flabbergasted is an understatement! as if the £520 was not enough? we were a night with meal and breakfast and enjoyed every minute. the garden room was beautiful and the beds are large and comfortable. there was nothing that the personal in the hotel and the personal in the restaurant would not do for us, and I liked that they would welcome and feel comfortable in a very formal ambiente. we choose the menu and from the first mouthful I was in the sky. the apple desert was one of the best gloomy I have ever eaten, and the sheer amount of work to get this desert was obvious and very appreciated. the breakfast surpassed my expectations and was nice with a good selection of cooked options with excellent products and I appreciated the baked. this is a formal si...

As part of a 3 night stay in Baslow, Fischers was our last night treat. Whilst we ate in a lot of lovely cafes and restaurants whilst here, we were pleased that the last meal was this one. We had the tasting menu. We aren't...great at discerning wines so the somnelier was really helpful in ensuring we had a lovely wine that suited us. Whilst we attempted to articulate what we did and didn't like with the finesse of a 5-year old the somnelier was courteous, professional and got it right. The food was exceptional. It looked great and tasted wonderful. The pick of the dishes was the artichoke. But that doesn't mean that the mushroom porridge, scallop, lamb and duck courses (not naming them all)...
