Solid tea with an innovative menu based on classics. Sandwiches and scones were incredible. Desserts were hit or miss and it seemed like presentation mattered more than taste. My wife loves tea and I love coffee. It helps that Emmeline's has great coffee and an even better selection of tea. Between proximity to the flat we were staying in and the experience I would come back.

The highlight of our weekend in London for sure. We were looking for a nice afternoon tea that was not too expensive and was also friendly for someone that is gluten free. The atmosphere was fancy but not pretentious and there was live music during our tea. All of the food and treats were delicious and unsurprisingly the tea was also amazing. I was on expat in Europe for 6 months, and when I think back over all the best experiences I had this afternoon tea easily falls in the top 3. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I have often confessed to my champagne appreciation, but I have rarely accepted my tee addiction in the afternoon. something about this British tradition always has a chance to get me all right into me. the cake, the sandwiches, the fluffy scorpse and fragrant tees. it's almost always great worth. rarely over £60 per person and lasts for most afternoon – a bargain when they ask me. one of the best places for afternoon tea has always been at conrad london st. james and with its latest introduction to the conrad candy shop afternoon tea – it is somehow managed to get even better.

We dined in the Emmeline’s Lounge on a quiet Friday afternoon for their Broadway afternoon tea. It comprises four plates: savouries, finger sandwiches, scones and dessert. I always enjoy a good prawn mayo so the prawn marie rose on a brioche bun took my vote. The chefs are innovative in their choices; I’ve never eaten walnut loaf before! Nor have I paired clotted cream with lemon curd on a scone. A true game changer. Their curd is creamy and spreads easily on the warm scones. I can’t recommend the Lion King dessert enough.
