Small restaurant with nice atmosphere and good service. Fresh salad served with meals. Very big portions, good steaks and wine. No credit cards.

We ate here four times both lunch and dinner and order plenty of Pilsner and Schnitzel. Daily lunch is always a good choice. Portions are big. The prices are fair.

The Eltviller Rosenstübchen is centrally located and easily accessible in the old town of Eltville. Outer pages are on site that want to sit outside, should definitely book or bring a little waiting time. The service is very friendly and gives a family impression. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was a dream! The winemaker Schnitzel is itself stuffed, but could have been a bit thinner for my taste. A little has missed the sophistication, the whole grapes in the sauce were quite irritating, but this is high-level spice. We were in the area when we found this place. We were out all day and hungry. We found this place on travel advisors and thought we'd give him a chance. Wow, we're glad we tried! It's...obvily a local place. The working person did not speak English, but was kind and patient with us. The place was clean and full of locals drinking and eating. We all had the carving and it was excellent. Some of us had the classic carving that was cooked with chopped potatoes with bacon. The schnitzel was good and I loved the potatoes.
