"We went to this place as on Friday it is hard to reserve a table in Madrid it seems the whole city is dining. The bar is situated within hotel Meliá Castilla. The menu was not impressive by the end of the day it is a bar, not a real restaurant. The entrants were not bad at all, maybe the best part Cordoba eggplants with humus and quinoa salad. The main course was very disappointing lenguado (sole fish) and lubina. Cheese cake terrible, very dry. And the “famous” terrace, according to some list in top 30 in Madrid, was big disappointment as well 7 meters over hotel’s swimming pool and surrounded by residential houses and hotel itself, all ugly construction from the 70 ies. So, no view, no fashion and nothing exceptional."

to be a restaurant within a hotel such as meliá castilla should emerald the quality or the owners who rent the place or the meliá castilla chain for a corporate image issue. not recommended.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a business conference. Service in this bar/restaurant was the worse I have ever experienced, ever. Even when there were only a handful of us in the bar and three staff it was painfully slow. Even to be bought a menu. All staff are rude, surly and ridiculously slow. We stood at the bar this evening for 25 minutes before getting served. And they weren’t busy (except for all the texting the girl behind the bar decided she had to do between putting our bottle of the wine on the bar and going to find a bottle opener! . Absolutely the worse service I have ever experienced.
