But that was in the past. Birmingham has transformed significantly over the years, especially this area of Edgbaston and the inner city. While many of the office buildings remain, the neighborhood has evolved into a culinary hotspot, featuring places like Rofuto, which leads down to the Highfield, Simpsons, and Blue Piano. This has become one of my favorite places in the city.

Autumn has definitely arrived in Birmingham, and while I enjoy a spooky season and a pumpkin-flavored latte as much as anyone else, there's one thing I just can't get used to: the lack of daylight. Getting out of bed has become an impossible task, requiring more motivation than I have at the moment, plus a good sunrise simulation. It's dark, it's cold, it's frustrating, and to top it all off, I've already used up all my vacation days at work.
