"Food was overpriced, the bland continental option was limited, and the cooked breakfast portion was disappointing. Service whilst friendly was slow. The room looked nice, but you do start noticing things haven't been cleaned properly. There are lots of cobwebs, tired carpets, and dubious stains on the bedside cupboard. The hotel has potential but feels like it needs some good investment. The grounds going down to the river look lovely. Probably not suitable for people who have issues with steps or stairs."

I enjoyed the stay at Ednam House Hotel, it was like staying at Fawlty Towers hotel, the staff were lovely and tried really hard, but some of the actions were like Basil Fawlty.
