Fabulous meals at the duke acrefair! Our new favourite eating place! Staff are so helpful and go the extra mile for allergies! Excellent value for money!!

The best pint pulled and home cooked food ever tasted. I bring friends and family here and they all say what a great family pub and lovely food. Highly recommend to everyone!

So, we missed the turn off into the A5 while thinking it was lunchtime, passed a couple of dubious looking pubs on the road, and stopped here nice beer, friendly welcome, dog friendly, and excellent pub grub too. Just what we wanted to find! Recommended.

I almost missed this restaurant but noticed a sign advertising 2 meals for £10. Although we didn't opt for that deal, we enjoyed two tasty sandwiches with chips and salad. The staff greeted us warmly with a typical Welsh friendliness. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a classic traditional small pub that does good quality food at a very reasonable price. The service was good and the food came out quicker than i expected. It is a small pub with beams in the ceiling and is quite homely. My wife had ham and cheese sandwiches with chips and the meal was big. I had sausage with onion gravy. Very tasty. The tea and coffee come in large mugs great value.. Well worth a call in if you are passing. Far more economical than eating down the road in Llangollen Voir le carte

Very very disappointed. After reading other reviews we thought this place would be great, as we had just moved to the area. How wrong could have I been . food was cold and so was the service, “service” was non existent to be honest. !! we were talked to in a very poor manner, infront of our 6year old daughter which almost tipped me to the point of losing my temper. But due to the fact our daughter was with us I kept cool. This place feels almost like if your face doesn’t fit ! Then expect the worst . Anyway back to our 40min drive for a decent Sunday roast with warm welcome oh and service !!!!

We went with a group of 17 people and made a last-minute reservation just a couple of hours before arriving. We gave them a rough estimate of our numbers and they had set aside a designated area for us. The staff were relaxed, warm, and friendly. The food was delicious and tasted homemade. The service was quick and they were very accommodating towards the five vegetarians in our group. They even cleaned up around us while we watched the football game and took the time to chat with us about our visit. The outdoor play area was perfect for the children. I would definitely recommend this pub to others.

Very good food, at very good prices and very cheerful and friendly staff. My husband loved the atmosphere and the friendly chat with the locals. He had the steak pie, with homemade chips and peas. I had vegetable Lasagna with homemade chips and peas perhaps a little short on the vegetables but still of a very high standard with good flavour. The pie was crammed full with good quality steak which pleased my husband. In all a very good meal and excellent value for less than £18 and that included two mugs of coffee whilst we were waiting. An extra bonus was that Jones the Boats was just across the road from the Wellington and we could walk down to the canal with the dog. We met some interesting... Voir le carte
