"So, visited the afternoon boot sale at the Hop Farm and decided to grab something to eat. The place was light and airy, the staff friendly and attentive. A varied menu and something for every taste. As it was getting on, we decided to do a starter and each and a main between us. My wife went for a goats cheese tart to start and I went for nduja sausage doughballs. Both were disastrous the goats cheese tart was cold, greasy and topped with something that may have been goats cheese in the dim and distant past it would take a forensic scientist to establish this though. The doughballs were warm, tasteless and may once have been in the same country as a nduja sausage...or maybe not. Bland and fairly bought cheaply from a supermarket. So, let 's move on to the main course. A calzone pizza arrives, plump and warm. Thank goodness that they 've managed to redeem themselves we think......nope, an absolute car crash of a calzone. All dough. 2 small pieces of chicken both in my half. A few slivers of cheap packet ham and a couple of spinach leaves and lots of air. Slimy, inedible and a **** take to be honest. Absolutely no redeeming features to this 'meal, can 't remember the last time we both left a restaurant hungry. Interestingly, not one member of staff asked how the meal was....maybe the truth hurts? Over priced, poorly 'cooked ' and presented, cheap supermarket starters.....avoid at all costs."

Popped in on a rainy saturday after taking the kids to soft play. It was fantastic, so accommodating for children, great pizza, generously portioned salads and such friendly staff. There was 11 of us and they were extremely efficient. Perfect place to pop into for lunch with the family.

The pizza’s were excellent, super choice so glad to see Anchovies on the list ! Last time we visited we had been to the Time Quest Escape rooms and got a 10% discount which was a great bonus. This food again was great and didn’t disappoint, there were quite a few new dishes on the menu which was really nice. Will definitely be back : Voir le carte

Had an ok meal here on the weekend. Nice enough starters (calamari, meat balls, bruschetta, mixed starter), kids meals good (including tasty pizza), and main courses were ok too (pasta, tuna salad, pizza). Wine was so-so, service again was ok So, overall.....just ok, nothing bad but nothing wow either. Would I go back? If we were at the Hop Farm again, then yes but wouldn’t go out of my way otherwise

I had a decent meal at this restaurant over the weekend. The starters were good enough, including calamari, meatballs, bruschetta, and a mixed starter. The kids' meals were tasty, especially the pizza. The main courses, such as pasta, tuna salad, and pizza, were also decent. The wine was average and the service was okay. Overall, it was just okay, nothing extraordinary. I would consider going back if I were at the Hop Farm again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine there otherwise.

We had lunch whilst visiting the Hop Farm 4 adults and a 2 year old. There is an excellent children's menu (3 courses for £7.95) and each course was devoured with pleasure. The main menu has lots of choice of Pizza, Pasta, Rice, Salads etc we ended up ordering Pizza, Risotto, Spaghetti and a vegetarian dish. It was clear the dishes were cooked to order and not pre prepared and all of were excellent quality great flavours and good portion sizes. Desserts were nicely varied. Service throughout was absolutely excellent and the meal was good value for money. We would definitely recommend and hope to return. Voir le carte

Unfortunately, having worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years in London, including learning to make carbonara from scratch, I was disappointed with my meal. The carbonara I received was not the traditional eggy creamy sauce with the perfect balance of moisture and Guanciale bacon flavor, but rather a disappointing dish with smoky bacon and scrambled eggs. The pasta was well-cooked but lacked in presentation and portion size for the price. I understand the importance of business, but customer satisfaction should be a priority. The restaurant's attempt to remake the carbonara only resulted in receiving a duplicate of the previous dish and an angry chef when my dissatisfaction was...

I recently visited the afternoon boot sale at the Hop Farm and decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu offered a variety of options for every taste. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn for the worse when my wife ordered a goats cheese tart and I ordered nduja sausage doughballs for starters. Both dishes were disappointing - the tart was cold, greasy, and unappetizing, while the doughballs were bland and lacked any resemblance to nduja sausage. Moving on to the main course, a calzone pizza was served but turned out to be a complete disaster. The calzone was mostly dough with minimal toppings, including spa...

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"
