Droste Cafe Restaurant

Visitin Germany you need to taste the delicious food offered from Droste Cafe Restaurant together with the amazing view you can have during your staying.

This lake-side restaurant has a limited food menu, but the food they serve is incredible. My husband got the Ravioli "Giardino" and I got the Bodenseefischteller vom Grill. The entire visit was wonderful. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

We ate exclusively here during our stay in Meersburg, because the pasta dishes (Carbonara, Tagliatelle, Lasagne) were very tasty, and the view of Bodensee was beautiful. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to eat in Meersburg if you like Italian cuisine....When we visited it at 5-6 PM, the place was much quieter than later in the afternoon.

What's not to love?? Great location and view, people watching hot spot, attentive and responsive service, fair pricing and really good food. Tomato soup was fresh tasting and well balanced. The lasagna bolognese was a surprise with a delicious creamy tomato sauce. I also noticed...quite a few others eating pizza and it looked like something I would like too.

We had dinner in Droste and I will not recommend it at all. When we asked if it was a good idea to order a side-dish, the waiter looked very angry and asked if we couldn't read! When we came home we discovered that the...restaurant had made a withdraw on 344,01 Euro. We had 2 pizza a terrible glass of red vine and a beer. Unfotunatly we did not keep our receipt, so there is nothing we can do. So if you go there please remember the receipt.

I just came for cake and coffee. I should say the cake was good, by coffee (cappuccino) was a total disappointment! they have good Italian professional coffee machine, I wonder how they manage to prepare such average cappuccino! service was not bad, bad yet with a lack, waiter forget to give me a serviette while serving my order. but I think if they came here to have a glass of wine, or beer with a lit Italian snacks it would be pleasant.
