Absolutely brilliant fish and chips shop in SouthseaOften a queue but well worth the wait - the food was brilliant - batter crispy, chips tasty.

while we are on vacation, could not the quality of the fish was beautiful and fresh, while the sausages were perfectly cooked. personal, where beautiful and helpful.

they were a little busy, but good food. we were told about the arrival that there was a 30-40 minute waiting for food, but eating came faster. Despite careful and clear job assignments, the employees were very nice and did not allow them to affect the food quality or the restaurant experience. we are coming back to the final.

Absolutely disgusted and disappointed that everything was over cooked (or refried/re heated) the chips were all hard as rock. We had a deliveroo order and we were totally shocked at the quality of the food. When I rang up the guy said there was nothing he could do , it was the potatoes!!!! That's laughable. I also was told to go to deliveroo for a refund. No customer service what so ever.... never again I'm afraid!

Terrible chips. When you go to a chippy you want good chips. These were awful and I honestly would have been better off buying some frozen chips from the supermarket. Why can’t these places who specialise in chips make them crispy? Ours were the opposite of crispy and the lad who served them put so much salt on them they were barely edible. Fish was okay but batter was over cooked. Would recommend avoiding this place. Overpriced for the standard of food. Better off at McDonald’s

This restaurant review is extremely disappointing. I ordered a medium cod, cod bites, chips, peas, and curry sauce on Saturday night. It cost £15, which is not cheap, but on top of that, everything was cold. The chips were soggy, the cod portion was small, and the cod bites had very little actual fish in them, just a lot of greasy batter. I hesitated to leave such a negative review as I know it can impact a business, but it is only fair that people are informed and that the restaurant realizes they need to improve. We had high expectations based on our positive experiences at the Deep Blue restaurant on the pier.

Had till problems but still served customers in front of me, I was last in the queue but when it came to take my order i was willing to pay cash or card. They said he was unable to take my order and was immediately closing even though there was food cooked and three customers ahead of me which he was able to serve. Will mo be going back or recommending this shop. Ever heard about pen and paper and cash. Closing on a Saturday when pompey playing at home seems crazy but more disappointed on not being informed about the issue, waiting 10 minutes while he served the rest of customers to then stated that I wouldn't be served, there was no one else waiting. How difficult can old school selling be....
