Lovely warm welcome, Sunday lunch with family, good food the deserts looked fabulous but didn't have room unfortunately, dog friendly too will definitely be back.

The best sausages ever, they are made for them specially, the best I've ever had anywhere. Bacon beans tomatoes egg and toast, what more do you want. Will be back.

The meals are outstanding so much so that we refused to eat elsewhere during our weekend stay despite visiting nearby town and villages. The portions are HUGE I Will be shocked if you leave the restaurant hungry

Went in with family a few weeks back, had aubergine lasagna and chips with garlic stottie. Was really good. Was a very long wait, but the staff were very friendly and attentive. Not mad at the food in this town at all.

I booked this hotel for a family group of 8 people, including children and a dog. The service was great, and a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in the bar where we ate. The burgers were amazing! Definitely eat here again, thank you: .

We used a Groupon voucher to dine at this restaurant at the end of June and the meals were exceptional. The steak on the first night was cooked perfectly, and the homemade chicken Kiev was delicious. The breakfast dishes were fantastic and came in big portions. As we were checking out, we saw the chef preparing Sunday lunches. Not only is he a top class chef, but he is also a brilliant singer while he cooks.

A short visit with friends. We were very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. We both had rooms on the front with balconies (our friends had a suite so a choice of 2 rooms for them! the dinner was lovely with the tempur prawns highly recommended by the 3 who had them. The breakfast choice from the menu was good too. The owner Graeme and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating...all very friendly. Would go back.

This was my second time booking The Bay for Mother's Day and it was just as enjoyable as before. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. We each had the set three-course meal and two glasses of Merlot for £37.00, which was a bargain for Mother's Day (or any day, really). The highlight was the carvery main course, which was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage in spiced apple juice and the cauliflower cheese. The desserts were also large and tasty. We will definitely be returning!

We checked the website for a menu, but it wasn 't exactly clear what was available at lunchtime, so we rang. If you want an express lunch then the menu makes sense, but for anything more, Wolsingham 's footfall doesn 't lend itself to full main courses, (which is quite understandable), other than in the evening. However, the landlady was really accommodating and said if it was a main meal we wanted, then she 'd be pleased to serve that now that 's good customer service ! There were 4 of us for lunch, and although it was a bit of a wait for the meals to be (freshly) prepared, we were catching up with old friends, so were quite happy just chatting.
