"unfortunately we were very disappointed. After we have seen a series of good reviews for this restaurant, we have booked it for lunch before we have a show in the barbican. despite the arrival on Saturday we were the only customers throughout the time we were there and were numbered by the employees. the food was in order, but nothing special, with the fried egg on the starter of my wife edible, but slightly underboiled. the waitress was polite, but nothing more, not trying to engage us in even rudimentary entertainment. She also did not ask if everything was in order until we were gone, which was too late. perhaps quite honestly, when we left the short distance to the end of the road and went, we passed a restaurant called cote, which was almost full of people eating appetitfreude. there we will be at the next visit in the barbican."

Changed menu pizzas not so great not a great variety and no make your own, Chicken schnitzel Ok big but tasteless came with chips and sauce. Did not have dessert had coffee and tea. 12.5 service included in bill Would I return no in a rush.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable, all be it brief, meal at Da Giua, only one course each as we were late for a concert at the Barbican. Both the fish and pasta were good and the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. We look forward to a longer, more leisurely, meal next time. I would recommend Da Giua for any one that likes proper Italian food and anyone visiting the Barbican centre as it's not even 5 minutes walk away. Voir le carte

The flavour of the food we ate was very good but it was let down by the pasta dish two of us ate being warm rather than hot (plus they were small portions for £12), and the pizza had cold ingredients on it, which didn't work very well. We each had two courses but were still hungry when we left. It was a shame as the Barbican area could really do with a good restaurant and this could so easily have been that place if they sorted out a few issues.

A friend and I tried out this new restaurant in Whitecross Street and we found it very pleasant. All the food was up to standard although I did find my pasta with octopus ink colouring a little bit hard but otherwise everything was very satisfactory. The first course with cured beef was delicious. The prawns served with my second course were very tasty and my friend's ricotta cheese pudding was delicious. Our white wines were crisp and pleasant and the service very friendly and chatty. This place is well worth investigating.
