"Exceptional Culinary Experience From the very moment we contacted Cumai to reserve a table, it was a very personal experience. María emailed to confirm our reservation and welcome us to her restaurant. On arrival for our reservation, which was the last evening of what was an absolutely fantastic holiday, we received a very warm welcome from María. Both the exterior and interior decor of the restaurant, is to a very contemporary and very high standard, one which would not be out of place on a UK cosmopolitan city centre high street. The restaurant is immaculately clean, with fresh flowers on the table and fresh, clean table clothes. Cumai has a fantastic wine cellar, which houses an abundance of wines, both local and international, which we were very impressed by. Having browsed through what looked to be a delectable menu, we chose the taster menu, which consisted of 5 savoury and 2 dessert dishes, which there may have been more of, but this was all we could more than satisfy ourselves with. Each time we were served, María explained the main ingredients, which made our dining experience incredibly personal, special and memorable. Each course boasted prime local produce, served with such attention to detail, passion and flare and seasoned to perfection. We could have easily have been sat in a Michelin Star restaurant, to which Cumai already has two incredible stars, María and Curro. To think Cumai is run by only a husband and wife team, is beyond imagination and expectation, which more than demonstrates their strong personalities and passion for what they do, kudos to them both. Cumai captures the very essence of love, happiness, exquisite fine dining, which is very reasonably priced, served with a priceless level of service. We highly recommend Cumai and will definitely return. Steve and Cheryl."

He repetido muchas veces en este restaurante (cada vez que puedo) y lo recomiendo a todos los que me preguntan por un restaurante de autor en Puerto de la Cruz. Tienen una amplia carta de vinos para todos los gustos, y María sabe aconsejarte a la perfección (y la variedad incluye vinos a precios razonables, a diferencia de otros restaurantes de su categoría) y Curro es un verdadero artista, sus platos son tan originales y tan bien elaborados. El restaurante es precioso, y cada detalle, desde cubertería , vajilla, copas, simplemente perfecto. ¡Muchas gracias por la linda experiencia! Acabamos la noche en la azotea del hotel (Vértigo) y con eso completamos la noche perfecta.

Las múltiples recomendaciones ya nos lo advertían: “Cumai te va a encantar, tiene una propuesta alucinante !!” Después de cenar en Cumai la primera idea que te va a venir a la mente será que cómo es posible que te hubieras perdido tanto tiempo uno de los mejores restaurante de Tenerife … Saboreando la famosa y riquísima tarta de queso de Ivan y disfrutando de los últimos sorbos del fabuloso vino que nos recomendó María , no podíamos dejar de pensar cuanta razón tenían aquellos que nos lo habían recomendado, es sencillamente ESPECTACULAR.
