Perfect for a night away with work. Couldn’t fault the rooms and the food at the adjoining restaurant was great! Would recommend

The experience at the restaurant was great overall, but the bed was a bit too firm for my liking. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging the surprise party that we had planned.

is used to eat cults hotel for something regular. it always has a good choice in the menu. Unfortunately it is now just a choice of burgers or makkaroni. the bark is out of the one we said. beautiful environment but much too expensive.

average eating, poor service, over price and what happened dinge, who liked to eat lunch like a sandwich combo or a caesar salad? I don't want to thank a roast chicken very much. so disappointed come here for years...but will not be back unless serious improvements are made.

This was a very disappointing visit. The menu is now greatly reduced. The food was not great but not awful. It was the price of the soft drinks which left me reeling. A half pint of soda and lime(half filled with ice), I was...overcharged it should have been We were also over-charged for a large bottle of mineral water it should have cost we were charged Even so still ridiculous prices for soft drinks. I only found this out by contacting the manager, who admitted there was a problem with the tills which his tech people have now sorted out!

pleasant helpful staff, spacious tables, good covid juicely measures, very clean, food average, prices well above average! had great hopes to return here as under new management, so thought the nautical thema from the former marine restaurant would have earned a similar menu. very few...fishing choices, the chic in aberdeen! missisng a trick here, as we urgently need more fish restaurants in deeside! only squid really in the offer, expects turbot and many other fish. ends with a duck that was beautiful, but small and a bit expensive. overall it's okay!

My godparents had their 50th anniversary there and I couldn’t make it being from Canada, but I’ve just been and it did not disappoint!! It started with the best scotch egg I’ve ever had. The local pear and barbecue sauce with it was so good I could put it on everything! Then I had their feathered flank of beef that did not require a knife at all it was so tender. It was accompanied by the nicest gravy, no heartburn or bloating after. Great meal, and the staff were attentive and very professional. The new waiter over from Ardo House deserves a raise! He was spot on all night long and a joy to deal with :

After having been regularly and happy for years to embrace the new management/owner menu, I am so disappointed by the variety of choices. I have eaten there last year and the menu has not improved. the focus is very on the fish dishes, which is a scandal, as it immediately decides to eat meat. the scampi has fun every time you visit and is certainly not worth the price tag. the personal is pleasant and attentive, but unfortunately this does not compensate for the bad quality of the meal times. the starters were nice, but the main thing was poor, unless they expand the menu, I would not recommend the restaurant to families or carnivores.

Tried the restaurant for the first time with my wife last night having previously ordered superior bar snacks from the same menu when we were courting. Our favourite snack was always the black pudding Scotch Eggs with turnip slaw, which come highly recommended and justify...a visit on their own. We chose the restaurant for a date night meal.When I booked online, I specified that I would need dairy and gluten free options where available and was presented with a separate gluten free menu upon arrival- which had plenty of starters and mains to choose from.
