"I recently had dinner at this restaurant and had a fantastic dining experience. The price per person was between £20 and £30, which I found to be very reasonable for the quality of food. The food was excellent, I would give it a 5 out of 5 rating. The service was also great, I would rate it a 4 out of 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and welcoming, I would give it a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the French Onion Soup and Moule Sauce Roquefort dishes, they were absolutely delicious."

"We tried out a Kerala Christmas meal at @tindlibychefkarnavar in Croydon which showcased traditional dishes that would be included in a Christmas/Easter meal in a Kerala Christian household. It was a large spread and the overall quality of the dishes was good. The service was ok. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"Recently opened fish bar which has the usual offerings that people look for. Only wrote this review because the menu states Welcome to the home of the best fish and chips in South London My experience would lead me to dispute this. I have no complaints about portion size which was generous for both my cod and my chips. However I found the chips to be on the soggy side of crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle The cod was sheathed in a very good looking crisp batter but this was very greasy and I felt the fish was somewhat overcooked having little substance or structure to it. Perhaps the freezing process had caused that. I do not know. Anyway it was a Monday so that 's never good for fish. There is a better shop a short drive from me in Carshalton but this is within walking distance so I will return and try again. I do hope not to be quite as disappointed next time."

"My best friend lives nearby to this lovely little coffee shop and I thought it would be nice for Christmas to get her a selection of Christmas treats from here as I know she uses it regularly and I have popped in here with her for milkshakes and cakes, when I have been to visit her and her lovely girls. The customer service from this small business was incredible, she knew my friend by name and even knew that she had already ordered a Christmas cake from here and kindly recommended switching the Christmas cake in the order for one of her favourite Guinness cakes. Seeing as she had been so accommodating and friendly I asked as a special request if she could put English muffins in as they were a fond shared childhood memory of ours and Corene replied straight away and said she could, no problem. Such a lovely touch that you would probably never get from a large corporate company. I already felt great that I had supported a small business and their customer service really made it a very pleasant experience. I know this year they have extended their range due to covid to provide fresh eggs, milk, lockdown essentials for lots of the locals to have somewhere easy to get these things in a difficult time and just wanted to spread the word of how wonderful they are!"

"Following the principle 'good ought to be sought ', we scanned through reviews here on TripAdvisor to look a good Nihari place and found 'Karachi Pakwan '. I called ahead to reserve a table and to get a 'feel ' for the service/people, it went well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nofel as soon as we entered the restaurant and seated. We were pleasantly surprised by the inviting ambience, warm plates, clean cutlery and spotless glasses. (You 'd be surprised how rare the last 3 are at Pakistani restaurants) Our host recommended masala fish whilst we 'd wait for our main which we thought tasted excellent. Our main, Nihari with Kulchas was served at our requested time. The kulchas were fresh and perhaps the nicest we had at any Pakistani restaurant. Nihari was good enough, albeit I did think it could have done with a bit of (fat) trimming. Regardless, the taste didn 't disappoint. We had no room to try their recommended falooda (or even a sweet paan) but we shall in our next visit. The restaurant is about 90 minutes drive from us BUT worth it. Our previous Nihari restaurant (in West Hendon) is half that distance but declining service had costed them our custom of 10 years. We shall be returning to Karachi Pakwan for more."
