Lovely food. Really friendly staff. Great with our babygetting us hot water and baby friendly nibbles. Great stop off on our way home from whitby.

Just had a fantastic meal at the crown and cushion pheasant and black pudding spring rolls and then braised ox cheek and parsnip purée and parsnip crisps amazing!!

large pub, very friendly staff, nice eating and a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon with a refreshing drink on their terrace, or for a good evening meal. would be highly recommended.

we met yesterday in the pub for a walk with retired greyhounds north yorkshire. afterwards enjoyed dogs and people cool drinks in the pub garden. we were most welcomed by all employees. would recommend everyone with or without dog. Voir le carte

Came across this pub by chance and what a find it was. After a visit to castle Howard we stopped here to enjoy a fabulous roast beef dinner. The food was first class and the staff professional and friendly. Only wish we had a pub like this near us in Suffolk! Would thoroughly recommend.

Came for lunch a few days ago, ordered the Wagyu' burger, expecting a nice thick juicy patty. What I received were two very thin patties which you would expect to find in a fast food restaurant, which were dry and overcooked. The thick chips were good however. Nice outdoor setting with a covered section in the back, and quick friendly service. At for a burger I wouldn't return again.

Called here for lunch , the pub is a lovely pub traditional with a nice feel and decor . service was good and pleasant staff . I had pie which came with a substantial amount of veg included in the price I get fed up of food coming with nothing and you have to order sides to make into a meal the pie was lovely pastry excellent my other half had a salad pro Covid diet lol it was substantial and beautifully presented I would definitely recommend if you are passing call , I will be going back and I look forward to going .
