"the crazy horse is located on the ground of the former racetrack basels, the schaenzli, that is the name. that is, the race track is still there, but no longer run on them, but other horse sports events are held. the crazy horse is slept. muttenz right at the entrance. it's a small place, and all the spatialities are a bit distorted, but it's very good to go to crazy horse. during the warm season there are many outside tables. the place is also great for groups of up to 30 people. the service is very attentive, fast and friendly, and they offer a good selection of mostly Swiss traditional dressing, nothing imaginative, but very well coked, very good eating and very decent portions. the prices are clearly below the Swiss average. the decoration and the interieur are very simple and rustic, but it is clean and well run. I can highly recommend the crazy horse. when I take one of my horses to the training course, we go and leave something to eat and drink there. we will also have the end of the year meeting our riding club there. a true little jewel with people who make a real effort to make it a success that is among the locals! there are sufficient parking spaces directly in front of and through the adjacent stable tract."

Wer die Atmosphäre des Reitstadions Schänzli und Pferde mag ist hier richtig. Auch mit Hund im Anhang ein Spaziergang wert. Essen ist gut und günstig.

Eine Oase an der Birs. Wir hatten eine herlichen Schattenplatz unter einem grossen Sonnenschirm. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Die Karten ist vielfältig und gutbürgerlich ausgestattet...Steak mit Pommes, Thonbrötli XL, Beinschinken mit Härdöpfelsalat ect.Die Portionen waren alles in allem grosszügig und geschmackvoll.Ein Idealer Ort um nach einem Spaziergang, Biketour an der Birs einzukehren. Für Autofahrer hat es genügend Parkplätze.

Ich kannte dieses Beizli von früher, da wir hier vor Jahren mal ein Weihnachtsessen organisiert hatten. Spontan kam ich mit meiner Liebsten zum Nachtessen hier vorbei. Meine Frau hatte ein Schweinszimmerli mit Salat und ich Hackbraten mit Nudeln. Die Nudeln hätten ein wenig mehr Salz vertragen können, aber der Hackbraten war sehr fein. Das Zimmerli war auch fein. Es ist hier nicht die weltbeste Küche, aber es schmeckt wie bei Mama daheim. Faszinierend. Was wir noch nicht herausgefunden haben, ist der einfachste Weg zum Parkplatz. Wir genossen einen längeren Spaziergang zurück zum Auto über die Autobahnbrücke, der uns aber auch nicht geschadet hat :-)
