"Update 2023: Against my better judgement I thought I’d give this place one more try, and it was a mistake. The food was actually worse than I remembered. The fish was freshly cooked this time which gave me false hope of an improvement, but unfortunately I was to be left disappointed again. Had to be the greasiest fish I have ever been served. The batter was completely saturated, was very thick, and had broken into pieces during cooking so the oil had soaked the fish inside too rather than steaming it inside a light, sealed batter case how it should be. I now feel like I’ve drunk a litre of cooking oil. The chips were soggy, limp and also extremely greasy with not the nicest flavour. No complaints about the mushy peas though they are evidently capable of microwaving those without ruining them. The portion sizes of the cod and especially the chips were very large for the price £9.50 for cod, chips and mushy peas) but this was a definite case of quantity over quality. I wish I had gone somewhere else instead and will not be returning. I would recommend that the owners pay a visit to Silver Sea in Frimley Green for an example of how properly cooked fish and chips should be and hopefully pick up a few tips. Original review: Not great. The fish is pre cooked rather than being cooked fresh to order, and kept warm in the counter for who knows how long before being served. Heavy, greasy batter. Average chips. Not recommended probably the worst fish and chip shop in Farnborough, which is a shame as it is my closest one."

No stars! Soggy fish, looked and tasted like a last night's re-heat job. The paper was swimming in oil and so was the food. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Decent neighborhood fish and chip shop with very affordable prices. For example, a large cod and chips cost £8.30. In comparison, Deep Blue in Yateley charges a ridiculous £11.38 for a medium cod and chips. Voir le carte

have ordered for years fish and chips at this place! always friendly and polite! ordered tonight a Chinese food and was not disappointed, freshly cooked, not too oily and very hot! they have gone too long to offer a safer transaction, from Perspex windows to a second stand and also a unwound corner that they ask to wait if their food is prepared! good rone bay fish bar takeaway

I love this fish shop and have been visiting it since I was a kid I no longer live in Farnborough I live 250 miles north and was in Farnborough on holiday and just had to make a visit to this 45 year old third generation family run business as always the staff were very friendly and very chatty the food as always was beautiful fresh fish and chips I was sad to see that the Chinese next door had closed down due to retirement but some of the menu is still available in the fish shop I'm hoping that this very much loved chippy survives the cost of living crisis as it would be a very sad day if it was forced to close due to rising costs I would recommend this chippy as it truly is one of the best...
