"A welcoming restaurant over three levels with a banging Dancehall soundtrack (e.g. the super catchy and situation relevant Rice and Peas by Chi Ching Ching). Caribbean food is well worth a closer look for its plant based Ital diet of the Rastafari movement. Don 't be fooled by the laid back rum shack styling here this is accomplished cooking, well presented and quickly served, kicking off with the sweet potato patties which come as three light croquettes on savoury callaloo spiced with Scotch Bonnet and (guessing) cloves, with coconut lending a buttery richness rather than flavour. The vegetable curry is described in the menu 'with dumplings and steamed rice, bullet dumplings '. This is not editorial confusion. There are dumplings in the comfortingly rich curry, then rice and more satisfying, salty fried dumplings on the side. What 's not to love? The mock jerk chicken is some of the most convincing on the vegan scene borderline worrying. A good sweet potato fry is hard to achieve but these guys have nailed the non flaccid cut. Be sure to get the hot sauce dips for them. Cocktails are good value with a fresh pineapple garnish that brings holiday vibes to the table, but they could up the ratio of citrus to sweetness for ultimate zingy refreshment on a warm night."

My second time at Cottons, the first time we didn't get to eat as they had annoyingly mixed up the time of our reservation.

Appalling service, especially from the front of house staff. Mediocre and overpriced food. Very disappointing, do NOT eat here.

Service was friendly between us we had, for starters, the salt pimiento squid the salt fish fritters followed by curried mutton grilled creole swordfish steak. All very tasty just filling enough for us to go on to a concert without feeling stuffed!

a welcoming restaurant over three levels with a booming dancehall soundtrack e.g. the super catchy and situation-relevant rice and peas by chi ching ching ching ching . Caribbean food is worth a more accurate look at its plant-based nutrition of the Rastafari movement. do not let them be mocked by the inlaid back-crack styling here, this is ready to cook, well presented and served quickly, they bump with the sweet potato patents that come as three light croquettes on hearty callaloo with scotch bonnet and guessing nelks, with cocose giving a buttery enough instead of taste. the herbal curry is described in the menu 'with knödeln and steamed rice, ball knödeln'. that is not editorial confusio...
