"Côte brasserie is a chain French restaurant that I have seen popping up all over London. I came to the Islington branch for a large family gathering and was quite excited due to my love of the French cuisine. The interior is quite representative of a chain restaurant, with a large number of tables packed into a small venue. That said, it was quite ambient with dim dinner lighting and brown leather booths and sofas as seating. The waiter who took our drinks order seemed quite rushed and was a little stand offish. However a very charming waiter served us for the rest of the meal, so everyone remained happy. For mains we ordered two salad Niçoise, a steak frites, a vegetable risotto and moules frites. We had one vegetarian in our party and she felt that the vegetarian options were quite limited. Nevertheless, everyone seemed happy with their final choices. I had the moules frites and found my portion extremely generous and very filling. The mussels were meaty and served in a delicious garlic and cream sauce. The salad Niçoise was also recommended, served with a tender tuna steak as opposed to tinned tuna. For desert we had two creme caramels, a chocolate mousse, a tarte citron and a chocolate fondant. The chocolate mousse was drastically larger than the other deserts and perhaps a little too filling after a large meal but altogether tasty."

A small, intimate place, perfect for a small gathering of uni friends to celebrate the end of term and the end of a decade! Lovely good, especially the pate starter and the haddock. We had excellent service and they were very accommodating when we needed a longer slot and moved us to another table. Great location, would recommend.

Cote Brasserie is the place to go for a special night out, with the restaurant overlooking Islington Green. It has a vast range of options on the menu not particularly cheap but worth it. The service was excellent and the presentation of the food was beautiful. The place has a lovely interior and the tables are spread out so you are not on top of each other.

cote brasserie is on islington green. when entering the area looks quite large and the furniture is dark wood. there are stands with padded seats. there is a private dining area on the back of the restaurant, which is separated by a curtain. in this rear section the service was somewhat slow. a few times in the evening we had to get the personal so that we can order food and drinks. but the staff was friendly and polite. Great. a friend introduced me to this restaurant over a year ago and I managed to eat here every time I visit camden. the personal is friendly. the atmosphere is relaxed. eating is very good. I was here for breakfast, lunch and dinner (not on the same day) during my last visit to london and every time I enjoyed myself totally. the surprising thing is that it does not break the bank either. I would recommend to everyone to visit camden.

best French food!. I never had French food, but that was amazing! the service was really good, and they served us too late, although we had a dinner of 9 o'clock. I ordered the seafood linguine and there were so many mushes and variety on it was really worth it. compared to the other linguins I had before, was perfectly diced and prepared. the wine and dessert selection was also very good and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for affordable food.

for a chain, not bad at all. this in islington is especially beautiful. great restaurant for lunch. tasty chicken and a deceng stek fries. not too expensive. customers where a mix of native and family types. there was a crying baby, but that didn't take away from the beautiful experience. we had ordered framed spinach they never delivered. not sure if they knew there would be a busy Saturday, as there weren't enough floor personnel. they ran around, but they managed to control the room. What time are you closing tonight? I asked the waitress casually. 12 am, came the answer, but luckily I 'm not doing the closing. As our lunch progressed into the late afternoon, another shift gradually took over. Cote Brasserie , newly opened along Islington Upper Street, must be the only restaurant running after 6pm on Christmas eve a relief for those who are staying put in London instead of braving the commute to families hundreds of miles away for Christmas. KJ is experimenting on the recipe I passed her, YQ murmured wistfully. He was in town again for a couple of days on a work trip. Well, KJ, if you are reading this, he was eying his phone half the time during the Christmas eve lunch w...

We were lucky enough to be invited to the 1 st anniversary party of the Angel branch of Cote a few weeks ago. It was a great fun night and a chance to meet the guys behind this ever growing chain of French Bistro style neighborhood restaurants. At the end of the night we were lucky enough to be given a very generous voucher so we could come back and sample their delicious fare and see how performed on a normal night. So a couple of Saturdays later we rocked up to the same Angel branch to see if we could grab a last minute table. Maybe we should have reserved one before, but luckily we turned up just in time to grab a table straight way, which was just as well as the restaurant was pumping an...
