A great place to meet a friend I've not seen in a long time, the drinks were lovely, chips hit the spot the atmosphere was perfect. I had an espresso Martini and pink lemonade and would 100% recommend these to everyone.

I absolutely loved it! From the beautiful design and decor to the attentive service, everything was fantastic. I ordered the house beef burger, and it was incredibly delicious and fresh. The vanilla espresso martini was also amazing! I will definitely recommend this place and will be back for sure!

Nicely curated, certainly cosy interior. Really great place to go for dinner and a warm atmosphere. The food is top tier and the staff is helpful although a bit overly ceremonious. It’s a great place for brunch or dinner. I’ve tried the warm sourdough, spring risotto and vegan vanilla cheesecake all of which I would highly recommend. Will be coming back soon.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by the staff and the ambiance. We were quickly shown to our table and given menus. Since it was 11:45 AM and the breakfast menu was being served, we ordered two cups of tea. We explained to the waitress that we were interested in the lunch menu. She returned shortly before noon to take our orders. We decided to share a few small plates between the two of us. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. Lovely place to meet up with friends or even take in the views. Yet to try the food, the drinks are delicious and for the prices its worth the services, a classic warm atmosphere along with excellent trained staff and how easy it is to socialise. Only downside I can think of would be the paths, its not Cosy Club's issue, it's the councils fault, can be a tad tricky accessing the paths on rainy days so take care when going here. Over all 5 stars all round! Would recommend anyone visiting Durham to give the river restaurants and pubs a try, unique experiences with both staff and quality :

I don’t give it a full five stars, however, due to the inconsistency in how some staff members manage the seating process. A few weeks ago, I made a reservation and also visited without one on a separate occasion. Both times, we were told to wait in the bar area. On our first visit, I arrived about ten minutes early and was told I couldn’t sit down before my reservation time. That was fine; I understood. However, I was instructed to take a seat and wait. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, and after our booking time passed, we had to remind the staff that we were still waiting.
